I recently visited Tokyo Harbor in Forney, TX, and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, which made for a comfortable dining environment. The menu offers a variety of Japanese dishes, and the sushi options were decent, though not the best I've had.
The service was a bit slow, especially considering the restaurant wasn’t too busy when I visited. While the staff was friendly, there seemed to be a bit of a communication gap, which led to a couple of small mistakes with our order.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it also wasn’t exceptional. I’d be open to trying it again, but there are other places in the area that offer similar dishes with a bit more consistency in terms of service and quality.

Our chef was amazing and hilarious. He catered to kids and adults alike and the adult jokes were sly enough to go right over the younger heads. I hope we get the same chef again and again.
Delicious lunch hibachi steak and chicken fried rice. The chef was fun entertainment.

It was my very first visit there and it won't be my last! I was there for my sister's birthday party. The food was beyond excellent. The chef was very professional and very entertaining. The service was superb. My stomach and I were smiling and satisfied!

Good food overall. I could have done without the extra noodles they added to our plates at the end, and would rather have had more rice or veggies. Our host was super fun though, and made the evening great.

Just ate here with my girlfriend like we have many times before. I ordered the shrimp hibachi and was pleased with it.
My girlfriend on the other hand ordered 2 sushi rolls, the butterfly kiss roll and Philadelphia roll. She had 4/12 pieces of the butterfly kiss roll and 1/8 pieces of the Philadelphia roll. She made a comment during the meal about the fish tasting bad, therefore she stopped eating to make sure everything would settle.
Before we could leave the parking lot she had thrown up everything she had just eaten. After getting home and getting my car cleaned up I called the manager to let her know about our experience. I was told that these were 2 of their most popular rolls and she does not believe my girlfriend vomiting was due to bad fish. She proceeded to be defensive.
At the end of the call when I asked if she could refund me for the 2 rolls that were clearly not enjoyed, she instead offered a gift card to come back. She said it was not their food that was the problem but probably a “combination of things.”
I am not one to complain about food or service, but when we can’t even leave the parking lot of the establishment without seeing the food again there is a problem.
