Kitschy.....only open a few days a week but worth the wait. We haven't been in since last last year (2024) but it has been all you can eat for $13, and is very good. Fried chicken and sides plus dessert, Chicken fried steak or fried fish (very tasty) on another day plus sides and dessert. Drinks extra. Call for days and menu. It's on the left with a large parking lot in front, as you leave Fort Davis on the highway to Alpine. Pretty annoying that one guy can give it one star and give no reason but not open when he wants it to be open (below)

Actually, they are open on Sunday for lunch (posted hours are accurate) Brisket, beans and coleslaw were great! Get there early though, they get busy and I can see why! Small local place with great food and service!

Only open lunch Thursday and Friday, as far as I know. Home style food, not fancy-man cuisine. Fried chicken, chicken fried steak, fried catfish. There are typically two meats to choose from. Veggies like corn, mashed potatoes, green beans, frijoles, etc. Bread and a salad bar. Comes with a dessert. Theres frequently a line at the door. Highly recommended.
