This is your new favorite BBQ joint. Grab the sliced brisket sandwich lunch special and prepare to be amazed. The brisket is tender, smoky, and has a beautiful red smoke ring. The greens and pinto beans are wonderful too.

Was in town for builder conference and got the Brisket Elote. Wow…it was amazing. Thursday rib tips were also great. Wonderful lunch spot.

The ownership of this business has changed recently. However, I feel that the quality of food is still good.

Sorry to say that I had an overpriced dry brisket sandwich today. Even soaking it in their less than tasty bbq sauce. Very disappointed.

I have been going here since I was 3 foot tall. I haven’t been to this restaurant for a very long time. I recently went in and the ladies acted like they saw me yesterday as a child. I can’t tell you how much this place means to me. They were such a big part of my childhood. The food is incredible and the service is even better. I highly recommend.

This BBQ joint is a throw back. It is a little red building that started in the 1930s. Since then it has been acquired by Panther City BBQ in 2024. Walk in and it is a throw back to another time. This is no frills classic BBQ. The sliced brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce is probably the same sandwich they we're serving in the beginning. You will not be disappointed. The collards are well seasoned and tender. Thursday's daily special is beef tips. These are tender, and full of smoky flavor. This spot is lunch only. 1030-230pm
Parking: Look for street parking or a garage. You will pay since it is during lunch hour downtown

Went here for lunch with my coworkers and really enjoyed the brisket sandwich. It was a little salty though but I still enjoyed the food. The line was out the door. Small place and staff were very nice.

Great local barbecue joint. Brisket and jalapeño sausage were fantastic. Also loved the greens. The service here is super fast and as friendly as you can get.

I'll be honest I probably go here for my lunch 3-4 times a week. I've always gotten the brisket sandwich or just bought a 1/2 pound of brisket with a couple slices of bread. I love this place and the people who work there so I won't give less than 5 stars but today had a different experience with the brisket. Even after the new pitmasters came in, the brisket has always been falling apart and juicy and amazing. I wouldn't say it would win a national award but its delicious and so close to work that I love it every time. It's normally cooked well enough that you do not need a knife to separate the slices into 2 to make it fit into the sandwiches because they just fall apart and its perfect. But today the slices of brisket were so hard that I could not separate them by hand and they were difficult to bite through. I'm saying that I had a single 8 inch slice of brisket between my 2 fists attempting to pull it into 2 pieces and couldn't even do it. Very different experience than I've had with their meat the past 100 times I've been there. I am not sure if something went wrong with their smoker last night or what but I threw it out because it was inedible. Did not come on here to throw smoke but just to say something was wrong with your brisket today.

Ate there for the 1st time since they changed pit masters and boy do they love salt, got the sliced brisket sandwich, looked like it had good bark but nope that was the over seasoning, no smoke flavor and honestly tasted like corned beef. No smoke smell to be found in the restaurant just stale corn smell. I ate at bailey's at least once a week atleast the last 10 years. Sorry to say probably won't be back. They ruined a great little bbq spot. Oh and they raised the prices. Everyone I have talked to said the same. most in the building I work at said they won't be back
