The pork belly was to die for and the turkey had great flavor. the coleslaw was really good and the brisket mash delish, the Beans were the best ever tasted. and the nana pudding is so addicting wish I got more.”

It looks so unassuming from the outside, but as soon as you step through the door, you find yourself in a French bistro. There is a very extensive wine selection. The service was very attentive and exceptionally friendly. The food was top-notch—everything was a highlight. Highly recommended.”

We arrived early and sat at the bar before our reservation, which we ended up loving just as much as dinner itself. Great atmosphere all around.

It’s definitely on the pricier side, but you truly get what you pay for here. We’ll absolutely be back! We are already looking forward to trying out the patio seating this summer.”

However it was his 13th birthday so we really wanted to celebrate. The chef worked with me prior to coming in and made sure my kiddo was able to have a wonderful and safe meal to celebrate a huge milestone. All of the staff were sweet and thoughtful as well. “My roommate and I go to this iHop all the time, as when I’m off work, we usually have nowhere else to go. And they’re fantastic! However, an experience I had tonight drove me to write a review.

I’ve worked in “fast food”/dining before, so I understand the pressure a team can face when a sudden rush occurs— and I absolutely understand that an iHop being busy at 12:30am is going to be unexpected. So, when my roommate and I dined in tonight, while the service was amazing, our food tonight wasn’t up to standard. We conveyed this to our waiter (who was very sweet) and she promptly got her manager. I gave him the same story, and he refunded the whole meal (even parts I said I was more than willing to pay for).

This experience really highlighted how wonderful this iHop’s staff is, even when they’re experiencing the given unexpected rush. I hope that the rest of their night goes much better than it is right now, and that they know we will be coming back soon!”

“Panther City BBQ continues to be one of the most criminally overlooked spots in the Texas BBQ scene. Everything we had was phenomenal. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a beautiful bark and melt-in-your-mouth texture, the pork belly burnt ends were ridiculous, and the jalapeño mac & cheese and street corn were just as memorable as the meat. The Tex-Mex twist they bring to barbecue is awesome too; the brisket tacos and quesabirria style tacos were unreal. Fort Worth folks already know, but if you’re anywhere in DFW and haven’t made the trip yet, you’re seriously missing out. Panther City deserves way more recognition than it gets.”

I ordered the Mi Amigo Omelette with hash browns and sourdough toast😏 Delicious 🤤 coffee was on point very good. The atmosphere was good as well. Pricing was decent spent about $50 meals were around $10/$15 range and found something really good to add to our orders. The Hot Sauce was the best! Bought two bottles to take home and will most likely need more😁 in time. We came from Springfield, Mo and it definitely made us feel like home. Thank you and we will be back next trip😉”

We also had a table in the main dining room for half a dozen of the husbands who insisted on coming to have the special tamales, and bison burgers! They too loved the food and had excellent service. I cannot recommend Reata more highly. We live several hours from Ft Worth, and are looking for more opportunities to come again! Thank you Reata staff for adding to our wedding celebration. We are grateful.”

Dress code is to maintain a certain atmosphere as it is somewhat more expensive. The room is quiet enough to have a conversation. Many repeat customers create a coomunity environment. On a nice day the expansive dining patio is popular and a frozen margarita would be the cherry on top. But you don’t come here for the food, it just comes along with the atmosphere and history. They really could upgrade the queso - it’s not good - and everybody knows it - but everyone still orders it. Guacamole is much better. The meal is suitable Tex Mex fare for the assembled friends or family - and oh yes, don’t forget the Margaritas!

Note Joe T’s is so popular that there are queue lines separate for inside or patio dining. Patio is always a wait unless you come early or late.

It’s a happening place and probably should be on anyone’s visitors list.”

“We've been coming here for several months although not at a frequency that we have ever been NOT asked if it is our first time here. Food has always been consistently good. They do have a limited kitchen but their burgers do look quite good, their meatball sub is very good and their Devil's Sin pizza (basically a pepperoni and hot honey pizza with jalaps) is very good (but towards the end of the pizza you're ready to be at the end of the pizza 🤣). Beers are food. 2nd Anniversary beer is a heavy hitter but awesome. My daughter isn't in love with the kids chicken but she loves the pretzel bites (and they are very good!!). Wish they had more IPAs and I bet they would do am awesome job at a Belgian strong and Barleywine.... But I'm still waiting..... We always have a good time. From Fossil Creek it is a 20 minute drive North but then again if you're going to go to somewhere downtown FW you're spending as much time just being in traffic!”

“We have been to Whiskey Cake numerous times, and all times have been a positive experience. Today, was above and beyond a typical dining experience! First off, my husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this location provided a classy and calm ambiance. Our waiter Joe was fun, knowledgeable, and you can tell he overall has impeccable work ethic. Since it was our anniversary we splurged and ordered the charcuterie board… we will do this going forward. This board was eclectic and bougie in a positive way. The chicken melt did not disappoint and the ingredients were fresh! But when I say the in-house whiskey cake blew us away… I’ve never tasted anything like it. We will be back! Thanks again Joe!”
