“Checked this place out last night for our eating through the alphabet dinner series and it was fantastic! So glad we found this hidden mom n pop shop! I’ll be visiting more often! Many people in our group drove over an hour to be there and it was well worth our trips! Our server Misty was a gem of a human, the food was fantastic, portions were great, pricing was fair. Not even sure how we even had room for dessert, but that banana pudding was to die for. Definitely recommend y’all stopping by. Those 4.9 star Google ratings don’t lie. Let’s get em to 5 stars!”
“I want to really express how awesome the manger Fernando was last night. We arrived early for our reservation and he sat us down. There was an older lady seemed to be feeling a little too good and had an accident. Fernando and the server without delay were by her side taking care of the situation. Fernando himself was cleaning. I had a really rough 10hr day at work and being treated so kindly as someone also in food service really meant the world to me. Randy's customer service is unmatched with great menu recommendations. He has an incredibly polite and respectful demeanor and tops it off with a great sense of humor. I appreciated everything he did for me and the amount of care he handled our orders with. The brisket was perfectly smoked with a beautiful bark and melt-in-your-mouth texture, the pork belly burnt ends were ridiculous, and the jalapeño mac & cheese and street corn were just as memorable as the meat. The Tex-Mex twist they bring to barbecue is awesome too; the brisket tacos and quesabirria style tacos were unreal. Fort Worth folks already know, but if you’re anywhere in DFW and haven’t made the trip yet, you’re seriously missing out. Panther City deserves way more recognition than it gets.”

However it was his 13th birthday so we really wanted to celebrate. The chef worked with me prior to coming in and made sure my kiddo was able to have a wonderful and safe meal to celebrate a huge milestone. All of the staff were sweet and thoughtful as well. At first, I was a little skeptical because I thought the fish might be underdone, and I don’t usually like a strong fish taste. But once I actually tried it, the salmon was not overpowering at all and the flavors were really balanced. It ended up being one of the best rolls I’ve had. The plate was also beautifully presented, with a single orchid in the middle that made the dish feel special before I even took a bite. On top of that, the service was perfect – my server was attentive without hovering, checked on me at the right times, and brought everything out fresh and nicely presented. Between the orchid, the surprisingly delicious salmon, and the great service, this visit really changed how I look at trying new rolls, and I would definitely come back.”

Pricing was decent spent about $50 meals were around $10/$15 range and found something really good to add to our orders. The Hot Sauce was the best! Both managers served us our food and took our order and even comped part of our meal and gave us a free dessert. We had to ask for a couple specific pizzas to be brought to our table because they hadn't been offered while others were brought multiple times. 2. They don't inform you of their auto-gratuity policy when checking in for your reservation, nor upon giving you the bill. I would have expected better service when you're predetermining your own tip. 3. We also were asked to vacate our table for the next reservation while we were still actively spending money on after dinner drinks. These are all simple fixes on their end and I hope they can communicate better in the future.”

I then spoke to the manager and she would not listen and kept insisting it was the waitress who was responsible. She talked right over me, and was downright nasty.She admitted she didn’t bother to look at the burger. No customer service skills whatsoever. The pork belly was to die for and the turkey had great flavor. the coleslaw was really good and the brisket mash delish, the Beans were the best ever tasted. and the nana pudding is so addicting wish I got more.”
