“Dead End Trading Post was a pleasant surprise to say the least. Plenty of parking, super laid back atmosphere with amazing food! We had the brisket tacos and potato skins and we were both full. Live music on the weekends! This place is a hidden gem y’all, go check it out!“
“It's a bare bones beer and taco bar. Nothing fancy right on 7th St. It's fun for what it is. The food is good. They serve Margaritas in a plastic cup from a machine I believe ( skipped that observation somehow). The margaritas are icy and frozen and strong. Delicious on a 108⁰ day but not cuisine material otherwise. A single can of beer is $6.50! I should have brought my cooler. They have a classic red velvet cake with caramel sauce that should come with an insulin shot but people- this is a cake worth trying and it's enough for 2!All in all I didn't get to really explore their menu like usual. I went there as a meet up for after party beers. This place is not budget- friendly but you'll enjoy the no fuss atmosphere. The patio is fun EXCEPT it's right on 7th and there will be kids racing cars and bikes, honking, crossing light blinking noises and pedestrians- some are sketchy. Police had to remove a poor soul that but the manager wasn't rude to him and that was a good thing.You gotta go here at least once to experience what going to an easy going, no Frills, gathering place can be. You can walk to other local places too that are right next door. Bring your friend that has bad manners, and always wears cargo shorts and an ugly shirt bc he will fit right in!Tell me what you think.Parking: This was a Wednesday night folks and parking was STUPID. “Our favorite restaurant in all of Texas. Exceptional service. Delicious food and unique menu options. Manager came to our table to invite us to be on the VIP list and shared upcoming special events. Waiter was spot on with timing and recommendations. Texas bruschetta is always a favorite appetizer. She-Crab soup was so good we asked for the recipe which the sous chef willing provided and broke down portion for us. Will return again and again.“

“When in town celebrating our anniversary, we were excited to find info about Taste Project. We loved the 'pay-what-you-can" model and trusted Google reviews. Even if it was just a basic breakfast, sharing breakfast/ brunch here would not be a waste of our time. What we didn't expect is that our brunch at Taste would be the best food we had through a weekend packed with fine dining. Those were good. Taste is GREAT! I spent the next day wondering what is coming out on the new Spring menu and planning our quick return.We had the Breakfast Biscuit and Miso Cod. The biscuit included perhaps the best bacon I've ever tasted - layered in the biscuit with fluffy eggs, cheese and cranberry-pomogranite jam for the incredible balance of savory and sweet. Do not sleep on the breakfast potatoes! They are so crispy and well seasoned. The Miso Cod came with recommendations and did not disappoint. “My husband and I have been here about 4 or 5 times now. Each time we have gotten something different. Everything we have gotten has been so good. 2 things stand out for me. 1, the seasoning on everything is the perfect touch, and 2, nothing is greasy! tots and onion rings come out crispy but NOT greasy. The burger I got today was juicy, flavorful, toppings piled on, yet NOT greasy. apart from the great food, the staff are attentive and as sarcastic as us, so a great fit. There was only 3 other tables aside from ours but everything was slow. They bring out Champagne complimentary but we don't drink. Still nice though. I don't think we'll be back, our favorite and usual is capital grille but we were trying to give somewhere else a shot. And a huge sides station. I had three eggs over medium, bacon, potatoes, toast and pancakes. All for $11.99. I could only do one serving but if you have a huge appetite this place is for you. “They did a magnificent job transforming this location from the "Snooty Pig". It is decorated like a 4-star plus restaurant you'd see in a nice area in a big city. We were there at dinner time on a Friday night. It was very slow, surprisingly. If it was in a different location, the bar would be full of people! We had a family of 5 eat two appetizers, the spinach-artichoke dip and the clams. They were both amazing. I used all the bread and ordered more just to soak up the juices and sauce. We thought they were just a bit overpriced by about $2-$3 each. We ordered the Ribeye, the Sirloin, and the Seafood Pasta. It was all very good. My only issue was pricing. The location and average pricing compared to other restaurants of the same caliber makes me believe they are slightly higher priced by $4-$6 per main dish. My daughter got the chicken strips. They were so huge and of great quality. The sweet tea was refreshing. However, it had a weird after taste. The wait staff were good, especially when we had to send the sirloin back because it wasn't medium. It came out very "blue". They recooked it perfectly. We will definitely be back when we have a little higher budget and want good food!“

While looking over the menu the owner gave us complementary homemade porkrinds, throughout the visit the owner was very warm and inviting to the customers of his one of one restaurant. He clearly had lots of passion and heart involved in his business. That's always my favorite thing to see in a "new to me" restaurant and im always on the lookout for it.I had the fried chicken po boy with an awesome captain crunch breading and well seasoned fries and homemade dipping sauces. It reminded me of the times I get in the kitchen and experiment with something new and it turns into a new "you've got to try this!" conversation with a friend. The menu was full of really cool ideas like that. I plan on coming back to try more of them.“

She ordered the Kiwi to My Heart tequila cocktail, and I ordered the Cherry on Top rye whiskey cocktail. She chose the Bacon Wrapped Quail, and I chose the 12 oz filet mignon. The drinks were unique and delicious, and the meals were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Summer was our server, and her attitude and energy were both amazing. I recommend reserving a table around sunset because the view you can get from the 12th floor patio is a serious Ft Worth secret gem. The restaurant is located in the Frost Bank high rise on 6th street. To get to Branch and Bird, use the Frost Bank main entrance. Head to the elevators and find the touch screen to select "Branch and Bird." The restaurant entrance is straight off of the elevator from there. 10/10 would recommend.“

“We were there this morning for breakfast. My wife and daughter ordered a plate that they were going to share with each other. my daughter asked for no tomatoes since she is allergic to citric acid. Well, their food came, and my daughter started to eat the food and found some tomatoes in the food, so our waiter came over and asked if everything was okay and we said that there were tomatoes in her food. He then went and got his manager. She was the best manager we ever had come in contact with at a restaurant. She apologized for the miscommunication, and she would take care everything.
