“Have tried numerous Top 10 TM bbq. I now understand why this place got the top spot. There is not a better Big 3 plate in the state. The brisket was perfect. Very light smoke flavor with a huge pop of basic seasonings with melt away texture. Turkey and ribs were awesome as well. Wait was super tolerable for a top 10 spot. got there at 830 on a Saturday and was plated by 1120. Worth a try at least once. Won't be disappointed.“

“Some of the best BBQ in Ft. Worth. Not a really big place but they've been around for years. There aren't many people you can talk to in Ft. Worth who don't know about Lloyd's cafe. It's almost a historical movie to the local residents. Laid back atmosphere and they boast "the coldest beer in Ft. Worth." “Oh man the smell coming in gets your mouth watering then the veiw to the left a whole smoked pig wow i ordered the lamb & brisket the Lady a chopped.the sides werent really up to par the pintos were crunchy & the potato salad was blah but were here for the Meat the brisket was perfect tender & juicy smokie too.the lamb very tender a small gristle line found but in all great .the chopped i was told good but too much sauce cant taste the brisket & the chips were spot on.

“I live in Oregon. I have only been to the Dallas/Fort Worth area 3 times in my life and 2 of the 3 times I visited. I went to Shady Oak for a meal. The BBQ is absolutely phenomenal, the service is excellent and the restaurant overall is very attractive and well taken care of. Texas has become my favorite place to visit and I plan on having a meal at Shady Oak every time!“
