Stopped here for some Texas barbecue as we were passing through. My go-to-mail is the barbecue brisket. Brisket had decent flavor but was a bit dry. Not sure what was happening, but our waitress seemed overwhelmed even though there were not very many people in the restaurant. Took a long time to place our order in a long time to get our food. We love Shady Oak Barbeque & Grill. We frequently eat there when we visit Fort Work.The food is always very good. We particularly love chopped beef sandwiches or the potato and sandwich special.The atmosphere is conducive to families and the service has always been very good.
