“I have wanted to eat at this restaurant since learning of it from an Anthony Bourdain show (think it was “No reservations”- but can’t find the episode). It was low key- and my visit was more about sharing an experience with family and homage to an admirable fellow human. The three stars are not a negative reflection of this experience for atmosphere- but a homage to Bourdain - on how he might paint a picture of a low key establishment featuring a dark and western themed corner of the west- sprinkled with a savory dust. The rabbit /rattlesnake sliders - are a “must taste” experience. My oldest son had the elk sliders (appetizers), and finally learned that chewing thoroughly (instead of wolfing) was much more enjoyable (despite taking three orders to fill him).My steak was perfect. No steak has ever been better than my own, but the prime rib being seared was definitely my preference on how the dish was served - and the seasoning used- was unique in that it brought forth and accommodated the essence of the beef.Whether a fan of Bourdain or not- everyone should have a LD experience - and accommodates any other activities might explore at the stockyards.“
“My son brought me here for my birthday. Our waitress was named Cheyenne. She had a great attitude, explained the menu very well. Very friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was great. This is definitely on our list of go to restaurants from now on.“
“From a few cocktails and appetizers at the bar before dinner, until they held the door for us on the way out, this was truly a great experience!Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. For starters, HUGE buttery Scallops and The Calamari were some of the best I've ever had.Dinner service was timed well and came out perfect. Beautiful Beef, Beautiful fish, ALL the sides are top notch. You get to pick your own knife, which I thought was a nice touch that will be memorable in the future. If you haven't had enough yet, Dessert is beyond Gluttonous, in all the best ways possible.Bread Pudding, Creme Brulee, 6 Layer Chocolate Cake as tall as a house, were the real MVP's in our party. Our party is no stranger to Steakhouses in DFW and we felt Silver Fox stood out among the crowd.See ya' again soon!Parking: Limited number of spots near restaurants in area. Nearby parking garage always has spaces.“
“Slow service... Kind of takes forever for everything. It was our first time here and the entrance is confusing. Also the valet doesn't tell you to validate your parking and neither did our waiter. There was only 3 other tables aside from ours but everything was slow. They bring out Champagne complimentary but we don't drink. Still nice though. I don't think we'll be back, our favorite and usual is capital grille but we were trying to give somewhere else a shot. They also need a dessert menu it's terrible they have to recite even dessert and my the second one you've already forgot what they had. Some of us are visual. Definitely not good business in they sense“
“Food is mid at best. Taste like most other stake houses. Honestly the staff was amazing. 2 stood out for me. Lauren and Brittney. Both these young ladies had the charm personality and knowledge of their environment. Keep these 2 and I'll for sure keep bringing my family in to eat. I would promote both these ladies cause good help is hard to find“
“We went for our anniversary and they set the mood by putting rose pedals on the table. Ralph our waiter was absolutely fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and helpful! The food was all amazing and delicious! We will definitely be going back and specifically asking for Ralph!!“
“We had reservations for Easter and it was just crazy crowded. Despite that, service was great. Nice they did reservations as their direct competitors don't. Still had to wait a bit so not a true reservation system. Food is good but nothing great.“
“Bobs is in my top 5 steakhouses in the country. Ever since my first experience in the mid 90's, I have been a loyal fan. The Good - As always, the steaks. In our party of 7, we had a variety of cuts with one wagu partner. The steaks at Bobs are always well cut, seasoned, and prepared. Of you are there, just commit to the beef. Carrot - yes, I said it, the carrot. Every dish comes with Bob's amazing root. I've tried for years to describe this to others but have never been able to replicate the amazing side. I“
“Tonight’s service by Emilee the bartender was outstanding. Not only as a bartender providing great drinks, but also as a waiter at our table. Very nice, courteous and friendly. During our dinning experience she make sure our order was taken care of properly from beginning to end. Her service did not go unnoticed. Great atmosphere at restaurant too and food was great as well. Highly recommend this location. Thank you Emilee.“
“Came in during a super busy time and was very happy to see this place was so welcoming and efficient!! We were seated quickly and our waitress was extremely friendly. Even though every table in the house was full, she was constantly checking in and never once forgot about us. The food was hot and delicious. Honestly, they have some of the best steak around, even if they are a chain, and those rolls are off the hook. I'll definitely be back!“
“Our experience here was GREAT! Our waitress asked us if we had been there before. When we said “no”, the manager came over to say explain the items in the menu we’d never seen before (we are from out of state). The food tasted great! Our waitress was amazing, and the atmosphere had a heavy cowboy/ranch vibe.“
“As soon as we walked we were welcomed by the kind workers. The atmosphere is beautiful you can tell they care about cleanliness and good customer service. Lastly the food was delicious my husband ordered the steak and Mac very flavorful and I ordered the chicken fried steak, loaded baked potato, and Brussel sprouts which were very tasty. Definitely will be returning !Kid-friendliness: They had snacks for the kids such a good idea ??“
“Came here with 3 friends. Our waitress, Jackie F. Was above and beyond. Attentive, funny, warm, and very welcoming. She set the tone for the evening. The filets my girlfriend and I ordered were solid, our friend who ordered a medium rare ribeye got a rare/ blue and was a little bummed, but didn't want to say anything and waste food.“
“This place is so nice & welcoming. My sister was visiting from N.Y we found ourselves in the Stockyards. From the moment we arrived the vibe was very comfortable. The hostess was very friendly. Waitress was on point. Glad after all these years of living in Texas I tried a restaurant down at the stockyards.“
“My visit to Mercury Chophouse was a delightful experience that I would rate as four stars. The ambience of the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, creating a perfect setting for a special dining occasion. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. The menu at Mercury Chophouse offered a diverse selection of dishes, and the food was well-prepared and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the quality of the steaks and the flavorful sides that accompanied them. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, adding to the dining experience. While I had a great time at Mercury Chophouse and would recommend it to others, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of management should let their servers interact and share their knowledge of food and wines. Some really do enjoy the knowledge of what they’re drinking and eating. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that I would happily revisit in the future.“
“Worst service I ever got took 15 mins for the waiter to come to my table place is empty since new roadhouse openI had my food order 10 mins before the people next to me sat downThey got there food 10 mins before me when I ask to speak to the manger some young kid Luis come over told me sorry there only two people at the other tableSo i said Sir I only have three people at my table and we all order chicken.Told me it the luck of the draw have a good day and walked away with me super unhappyWow guess I'll just start going to the new roadhouse on lake worthDude doesn't give to fs about me or my business“
“We went in about 4ish and there were alot of empty tables. She said it would be about 10 minutes ok no problem. So we were waiting and it seemed they were having issues with there system which became obvious as people were coming in and getting seated right away. After about 20 minutes or so we were seated and it was all good from there.“
“Traveled to DFW for vacation and had a great time at H3. Highly recommend, but go on an empty stomach. Ate the prime rib but could not eat the sides. Too filling...Some got the Filet and couldn't eat his sides too. Great tasting food.Awesome wood fire rib eyeThe price was due to a party of three with two (2) big steaks.“
“My first time back in over very nearly 40 years! I shouldn't have waited so long (but there are SO many restaurants to try in FW/D!). The place looked the same except for maybe a wall mounted TV and mural in the bar... I do not remember those being there in my younger years. The main dining room looked unchanged. Loved it!My wife said it was the best filet she had eaten in a long, long time! She is still talking about it days later! She was totally impressed by its flavor. My chicken fried steak had a really nice and crispy battered coating and was of a nice size. The cream gravy was very good quality. Even the simple house salad was good, basic, but well-made with really good Ranch dressing.Wait staff were friendly and attentive and the grill cook was totally focused on what he was doing. It was the most perfectly cooked steak I think I might have had in my life (I tried my wife's as we always do. Kudos to the grill chef!)Only downside, if it can be called that; the banana pudding was more like an ice cream confection than plain old banana pudding. Not what we were expecting, expensive but good.We can recommend Cattleman’s for its lifetime of mostly unchanged charm and the quality of the food… and lunchtime prices were not that expensive! All kind’a surprising considering the popularity of the tourist destination stockyards where it is located.“
“Favorite items were the cucumber salad from the salad bar and the perfect ending cocktail. Service is perfect, no complaints. Server advised that the meats are all cooked medium rare and seasoned with rock salt. Most were a bit overcooked and a bit saltier than desired, but the option is there to ask for them cooked differently and without salt as long as you are willing to wait. Cocktails are pricey. Overall, we spent close to $100 per person after well earned tip.“
“We went there on Friday for our 16 year anniversary. Cat was our server & she was awesome; very knowledgeable & attentive. The drinks and appetizers were good. We had the lobster bisque (best I've ever had) and oysters on the half shell. The bread was just ok IMO. My husband the special, haddock, which definitely wasn't worth $57. The portion was tiny. I had the surf & turf. The steak has incredibly tender. I gave my husband one of the steak medallions because he was still hungry from the small fish entree. We took the lemon cake & chocolate mouse cake to go for dessert. The lemon cake was a huge slice and so fluffy & moist. However the chocolate mouse cake was a little dry and was only a sliver of a slice. Again, not worth the price of $13. I would've given 5 stars except I got food poisoning from either the chocolate cake or the lump crab on top of one of the medallions. I'm not sure we would go back; that sort of taints your experience.“
“Worth every penny! Great service, great food - and all around wonderful evening celebrating my best friends birthday. Our server was thoughtful, attentive and professional. Cozy piano side seating - the musician, a joy to chat with. Our appetizer salads (Wedge and Buratta/Beet) - delightful. Our main course (Steak and King Crab, Steak and Sea Scallops) - 10 stars. Would highly recommend dessert (Bananas Flambé). Would totally patron again.“
