“We visited SaltGrass Steak House in May 2025. We wanted the stereotypical steak, while we were on our short visit to Texas. This place did not disappoint. It is a Texas-themed steak house, which was exactly what we were seeking. The ambience is fun with a deep nod to the history of the state. The background music is quiet enough to permit conversation – which I found to be a lot more considerate than a number of other restaurants I have experienced nearby. There is a lot of Texas memorabilia on the walls, which was fun to look at. The food was outstanding. We tried some appetizers prior to our entrees. I can’t fault them. They were tasty and good value for money. Our entrees, the steaks, were perfect! If you want to taste “bliss” a visit to this place is highly advised. I hoped to sample the desserts but, because the appetizers and entrees were so delicious there was, sadly, no room. Gabe was our server. He was an absolute sweetheart. He was fun, friendly, and professional – and bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed. I can’t speak highly enough of this young man. To top it off, during conversation, he revealed that he has served our country in the military, and that he is a veteran. Thank you for your service, young sir. (If you visit this establishment, I hope you have the good luck to be assigned to one of Gabe’s tables!) To summarize: Ambience: 10/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Value for Money: 10/10 Would I recommend this place? Absolutely, yes, in a heartbeat!“

“We celebrated our anniversary at YO Steakhouse in Dallas and had such a great experience. Marcos Ruiz took really good care of us and recommended the Texas Hill Country Quail Medallion and the Burrata Tomato salad with a vinaigrette reduction—both were super fresh and full of flavor. Super delicious. For dinner, we had steak with bone marrow butter and salmon with rich sun-dried tomato, roasted garlic & cilantro butter, both cooked perfectly. Marcos also surprised us with a special dessert design for our anniversary, which made the night feel even more special. “North Dallas is know for its niche yet vast array of chain slop. Al Biernat’s North is the hidden and coveted diamond in amidst the dark sea of chain restaurants.
The ambience is walking into front of house managers like James Gee in snazzy suit who will offer you the greatest culinary treasures not matter the rags you saunter in on (but you better believe anything without a collar is gonna get a well earned look of judgment from the patrons) and graciously host a couples anniversary or a business outing. Perfection is delivered through clear crystal glasses, expert mixologists, and served fresh from his 11 1/2inch porcelain plates through his kitchen.
Service from servers like Ahmed (who blessed our table) is professional and of the highest quality. Setting new levels of understanding, he could tell we were enjoying the quality of a meal without small children testing every virtue you contain. He seemed to know when to offer get our food spaced perfectly and could tell when we just needed time to enjoy the food.

“Went March 2026 for happy hour this is one of the best deals around because you get the same portion sizes for the apps they are not smaller sizes like some places do for happy hour . Most apps are 50% off and cocktails 2.00 off. The server was very attentive. I had the dragon fruit margarita that I sent back because it was too alcohol heavy for me and got the Malibu Peach instead which is delicious if you like sweet cocktails (rum based reminds me of a rum punch in a way) the server had no issues switching them out for me. The apps were all good we had spinach dip, cheese curds, and pepperoni pizza the portions were enough for 2 to share we had some food left and took the rest of the pizza home. The food was fresh and service good. I would go again“

When we walked in, we were greeted by a Gentleman (wish I had got his name) that accommodated a request for different seating than what I reserved (totally my fault). Got us a great table near the dancing floor and music stage. He was SO gracious. Thank you, Sir!

Our waitress did a phenomenal job of caring for us. Not only always by being on top of our requests but also her fantastic sense of humor and genuine kindness. She gave her name as Goldie Hawn 😊 which just made her that much more awesome to us. The music was great and the place has a wonderful vibe that you don’t find often. Food was really good with nice portions.

“Such an amazing establishment. 5/5 across the board. I went on a date to celebrate a birthday. I made reservations beforehand, and the experience started right when I came through the door. I felt like I ate like a queen.

Everything was very well put together with the flavor profiles, seasoning, the quality of the food, and the preparation of the food and dishes. They paid attention to every single detail here. We definitely had to thank the chef here.

I am originally from Virginia, so I am a big seafood lover, and it's always very nice and comforting to see when restaurants have East Coast oysters in Texas.

Seafood in general in Dallas, Texas is horrible. So when places offer seafood, I really stay away, but in this instance, it was the complete opposite. Their seafood appetizer option truly blew me away.

“First of all its always been on my bucketlist to eat at Saltgrass. How many times did I ever ask my husband to take me there ( I lost freakin count). None the less my liddo sister Christel Rios brought me on a runaway short trip from Wichita Falls Tx to Dallas Tx to visit family and then we ended up in Grapevine Tx on our way home and stopped to finally eat here at Saltgrass. We entered in and had might I ask, where was the hostess with the mostess to greet us? However, we were finally seen and seated. The lovely gentleman sat us as we told him that it was our first time eating there. I was sooooo excited. So he sat us down.....its beautiful inside. Couldnt keep my off of everything in there....its like a scene from thw WILD WEST. Well moving on, our waiter was Matthew, he was AMAZINGGGGG to us! 🥇⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and so on for stars. He made us feel so at home. He gave us alot of positive info about the restaurant. Great job Matthew. Now not to be mean but the starter bread and butter was not the best. The bread tasted stale like days old bread. However everything else was FANTASTIC!! CHEERS for Matthew. Give that boy a raise!! Definately coming back with my posse next time!
