Drakes hollywood was amazing! Went for our anniversary & had a great night. Our server was Louis (sp?) , who was fast, attentive, and nice. The food was great, my fiancé got the parmesan crusted fish dish, I went for the A5 Japanese wagyu & lobster mac which was all delicious. Would definitely come again.
EXCELLENT service and cuisine.. We celebrated our 41st anniversary and we could not have enjoyed a better experience from the time we were greeted at the door. And the Happy Anniversary placard at our table was an unexpected joy. The food. The service. The atmosphere... 10 stars!
This once was a favorite restaurant for me but sadly its seen better days, I built a lot of memories here. But this evening was the most horrible restaurant experience that I have ever had in all of Dallas. The manager by the name of XAVIER half way into our meal stated that DRAKES by order of the owner HUNTER POND has a time limit in their dining experience. Additionally, the electronic disco music does not compliment the elegance of the food and decor, with some preferring a softer, slower backdrop sound. One guest was asked by the manager how their time was after staying about an hour after getting the check for a 600-dollar meal, which felt strange. While the food and service are praised, the atmosphere and music may not suit everyone.
