“This place is excellent! I've been wanting to dine in during my many visits to Dallas. The food was delicious. It was a lot of food! We ordered the parilla mixta family combo, it was huge and came with everything. The plate says that is enough for 4 to 5, but honestly, I think even 7 people could eat from it. It's a lot of food, which makes it a great value. I got plenty leftovers and I'm happy with it. A downside is that the service was a bit disorganized however, all the employees were very nice and attentive. The ambiance was great too, good for families. Overall it was a great experience and everyone in my party had a good time.Just to clarify, this establishment has 2 restaurants in one. Sabor Llanero and Palmas de Brazil. I don't know how that works, but we came for the Sabor Llanero menu, which was excellent.I must say the Venezuelan food at this place is very authentic. If you are not from venezuela, you might not be as pleased. I would recommend you to do research and ask enough questions before ordering. This is not your typical American menu and is not made for all palates. I’m so glad I followed my own mind and made the reservations!!!! Everyone was so impressed with the food, staff, and service. The manager, each waiter that passed, and especially our own waitress were so engaged and dedicated to making sure our experience was top tier. Everyone loved their dinner order (chicken & waffles, bone in ribeye, stuffed turkey leg, grilled and blackened salmon, stuffed chicken) and each item was cooked to perfection! “My wife and I had a date night and wanted to try out Steve Fields Steakhouse in Plano Tx. I must say the atmosphere was perfect for an elegant date night. The drinks were perfect as well. My wife had the Steve’s Old Fashion and I had a Remy Martin VSOP. We started off with the Waygu Meatballs for our appetizer and it was fantastic. The sauce that accompanied the meatballs was lip smacking good! For our entrees we went with the fillet Mignon and New York Strip with a side of the loaded mash potato’s and fried onion strings. I ended up ordering the Steve’s Old fashion since the sip I took from my wife’s was delicious. We finished off with an espresso martini, which tasted like a dessert. It was sweet and creamy, a perfect to end the night. Our waiter Nolan treated us like it was a world class restaurant (which it was!). We will definitely revisit this establishment again! The manager also made sure everything was going well and we were enjoying ourselves. Kudos to you Mr. Steve Fields for a wonderful establishment. I loved it here, and will bring my family to enjoy the experience as well.“

Manager emailed me the same night offering us their smaller private room with designated wait staff...we immediately agreed. Tried flights of bacon, Buffalo Trace products and did a steak flight for our table (45, 90 and 240 day dry aged steaks). Everything was cooked perfectly, staff and management were friendly and attentive while the private room was elegant, yet intimate enough for our group to talk and watch the boxing card for the night. “This is 2 reviews in one.We try to make Mignon part of every visit to the Dallas area. We have recently been to Mignon twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. In both cases, the management and staff could not possibly have worked any harder to make our visit perfect. The service is always outstanding.We both ordered specials the night we went for dinner. I had the beef Wellington and my wife had the venison with some sort of blueberry sauce. Both dishes were excellent. We arrived fairly late but never felt at all rushed by the staff or servers even though we have appetizers, mains, and finally dessert and coffee.The second trip was for brunch. We thought we had made our selections from the online brunch menu but when we arrived we learned we could also order from the dinner menu AND there were also specials. Again, the service and food were excellent.I must mention that Mignon is expensive, but I always leave feeling very satisfied with the food and service received. The best reference I can make is that we are headed there again tomorrow for brunch.“

The steak seasoning comes second to Morton's cajun steak in the American steakhouse category. Cons: There's nothing high end about greasy pork bacon in elegant brussel sprouts. I've had better bread and butter service (bread is served fresh, and supposed to be kept warm and soft) at other white tablecloth restaurants. Ultimate rating: Date night approved.If you can't afford this, then the economical Texas steakhouse equivalent is Texas Roadhouse ... but uh, Ruth's Chris has thicc, girthy steaks.“
