“I got a sausage plate with coleslaw and mac and cheese. The sausage was really good and I LOVE the bbq sauce!! The coleslaw was original and tasty. I got the mac and cheese based off other reviews on here, but I personally thought it was gross. It tasted like straight Velveeta to me. Still 5 stars for me, though! I will just try a different side next time!“
“Brisket was Amazing! Ribeye was tender and juicy and so flavorful! Only downside was the lack of sides were out of lids for side containers so no jalapeño cheese corn or macaroni was available…also 3/4$ for a small side is a little high in my opion but overall was very filling and the atmosphere was great!“
“Hands down the best greens at any restaurant, and I don't really like greens. I had the baked potato stuffed with chopped brisket. EXCELLENT! The meat tasted like it had been smoked overnight and seasoned perfectly. I will definitely revisit this place. Amazing family atmosphere. They make you feel like you're at home.“
“Folks better put some respect on Roy Hutchins name. Great food, great service, and outstanding atmosphere/ambience. Dining in makes it all worth the trip. Must tries…the Texas Twinkie and the fried okra. Fried okra isn’t overly breaded, and the Texas Twinkie is just divine. Will definitely go back again.“
“My friends and I went to TX for a business trip, 5 of us went to eat here and ohhh yummy yummy. I had the BBQ pulled pork and fries. Hands down the best ever. My friends absolutely loved their meals too. <3 everyone was so friendly. “
“A friend recommended I try this place and specifically the Arlington location. Overall, I found it enjoyable, but it's not without constructive criticism.I ordered their El Jefe platter ($50) plus a banana pudding ($5.50) for dessert. The quantity of food could feed two people (or one with leftovers in my case). What I liked: The turkey was very juicy and flavorful. I liked the cheesy sausage. The flavor and smokiness of the sliced brisket and spare ribs were on par with what I smoke at home (a good thing since they've won me competitions). The street corn was very flavorful and my favorite of the two sides. The banana pudding was also really smooth and tasty. What needs work: The burnt ends were decent, but they were too salty. On the sliced brisket the fat render could've been better. There was a thick cap of white fat instead of the well rendered yellow fat that one expects to see on properly cooked brisket. The pulled pork was okay, but nothing stood out flavor wise. I also found the brisket beans to be very bland with runny liquid. Consider draining the liquid or adding corn starch to thicken it, and also add more seasoning to the beans themselves.Parking: There is free street parking but not a lot of it.“
“We decided we wanted BBQ served at our reception dinner following our wedding and we are so happy we went with Patriotic Pig. They served brisket, sausage, and smoked chicken breast with mac&cheese, burnt-end beans, bacon green beans, bacon ranch potato salad, and coleslaw. All the food was delicious and all the guests were raving about the food.We also had appetizers served during cocktail hour. They served street tacos, brisket and pulled pork sliders, and Texas tater skins, all were a big hit with us and our guests! It was the perfect amount of food to keep our guests happy until dinner was served. We also opted for a dessert bar that featured Uncle Willie's pies which were absolutely delicious. My husband and I had a sampling of the pies for breakfast the day after our wedding and they were absolutely delicious!“
“The restaurant is clean and bright with fast, friendly service. The food was delicious. I wish I would have gotten a picture but I was too busy enjoying the meal. I ordered the lean brisket pho and was pleased to see that they offer a kids pho portion. My 5 year old loves pho and this was the perfect serving size. We also ordered the chicken bahn mi. It was super flavorful! Would definitely recommend checking this place out.Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids portion of pho which I’ve never seen at a pho restaurant before.“
“Ribs are amazing! Better than I can make at home. Make sure to get a couple. Jalepeno sausage is also great. Brisket was good and burnt ends (only available on Sat and Mon) could have been hotter (temp wise). Green beans were our preferred side. Very flavorful.“
“Everything is homemade. Even the bread and pickles are homemade from my understanding. Our favorites for meat are burnt ends and pulled pork. For sides, our favorites are Elote Corn, Onion Rings, and everyone's favorite Mac n Cheese. We saw the chef there today.“
“First time visitor and the food was fantastic. Brisket was tender and flavorful, ribs were tender and bbq sauce reminds me of KC. The only downside was I didn't like the jalapeño cheese sausage. appeared to be big chunks of cheese.it did not reheat well and greasy. It is outside so be prepared to stand in line. I will definitely add it to my list of acceptable bbq places.“
“I'm visiting from Houston and a lot of the barbecue spots in my area are mediocre and overpriced. Bartley's blew me away with their great food amazing prices and their really nice staff. Makes me wish they were in Houston. We'll be back again whenever I take my family to great Wolf lodge again.“
“Hidden gem alert! This Dickies Barbecue Pit is a true find that is tucked away near the major attractions of Arlington. While the location may be a bit hidden, let me tell you – it's absolutely worth the search! Now, let's talk about the food – oh, the food! The sliced brisket was nothing short of amazing. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, each bite melted in my mouth! It's evident that this location takes great pride in their barbecue, and it truly shows in every slice of brisket they serve. And let's not forget about the toast – it was just perfect. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with just the right amount of butter. It complemented the brisket beautifully and added a delightful crunch to every bite.Overall, This location exceeded my expectations. Delicious food, fantastic service, and a charming ambiance – what more could you ask for?“
“After an absolute disappointment at a well-known and high-priced steakhouse in the Stockyards, I had a really good sirloin steak there. It was perfectly prepared and tasted great. I was even able to choose the steak in the refrigerated counter beforehand. The service was also exceptionally good. An absolute recommendation!!!“
“Their meat stands alone, which, for BBQ in Texas, is not something you find very frequently. (Most places I've visited as a BBQ lover, they hide the dryness of their meat with sauce.) The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and the employees are good-hearted people.“
“We had lunch here. I ordered the Fish and Chips and substituted a salad for the chips. The salad was fantastic! Avocado, almonds, cherry tomatoes all in a delicious citrus vinaigrette. My son had the French dip sandwich, which came on a specialty bread, and was served like sliders with a jus. It is a blend of sirloin and prime rib. He said it was awesome! The server was friendly and took the time to describe the food and answer our questions. We would definitely return.“
“Very small place with a big heart. While you may have to tip your head into the kitchen to get attention, the food is top-notch. There's African music in the background, sports on the TVs, a full-service bar, and a nice, comfortable seating area of tables and booths. We'll be going back for more. Between our three diners we had sambusas to start, then lamb kabob dinner, chicken kabob dinner, and beef stew. The spinach is amazing, the fou fou outstanding, and don't miss their dessert - it's kind of a bread/biscuit/not too sweet an ending. The waitress will explain anything you don't know about or have questions on. Great eating. Be careful: we all ate too much!“
“I am in love with Back Forty Smokehouse!! Every time I come here the food is sooo delicious and there’s never a wait. I definitely recommend this place whether as a date or a casual night out. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. I am never disappointed when I came to eat here!“
“This place is fantastic! The brisket is nice and moist! The sausage has a great smokey flavor with a little jalapeño kick! The burnt ends have all sorts of flavors that render together beautifully! I also sampled a country rib that was amazing aswell! The owner, Todd, is a very nice guy who appreciates your business. Support your local businesses! I'll have to try the ribs next time! Check this place out. It won't disappoint!“
“Excellent bbq. Loaded baked potato, awesome. Got home my clothes were smoking! That's real baby.Vegetarian options: Hahahaha!! The cow was a vegetarian!! I ate em.Dietary restrictions: They should have restricted my diet!!Wheelchair accessibility: Needed a wheelchair to roll out!!“
“This was the first time that my family and I have been here (we’re from out of town) and it was an AMAZING experience!! The food was great, ESPECIALLY THE MAC AND CHEESE I’ll be dreaming of it ?and everyone was super nice, hospitable and friendly ??✨ Definitely recommended if you’re driving thru or in general ?“
“Happy B.D. to me!! Today is me and my older sister Belinda B.D. (RIP). My first event was the B.D. cut. Next, I had to treat myself to some Soulman's BBQ. I had the pull pork with Mac-n-Cheese, green beans, lemonade, and chestnut pie. It was absolutely delicious!!I had an opportunity to meat the CEO as well. I found out Soulman's BBQ is a Christian Restaurant. They weaved God into their plan and operations. One thing that stuck with me from what the CEO said was how the business has core concepts that they strive to use consistently. One was service, the other cleanliness, and another quality of food. Well, I experienced all three! Those are great traits to have. It is essential to have great traits in a business. It is what we call core elements or core value. It enhances your value disposition. How do you want your customers to remember you? 1. Clean restaurant. They are very clean. 2. Great service They consistently asked me how I was doing. 3. Good quality food, Yes! It was delicious!!“
“There are only a handful of Ethiopian restaurants in the metroplex, and I am so glad Arlington is one of those destinations. It's great to see more cultural cuisine represented on this side of the DFW! This plavlce is a must try! They have vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Both are delicious! Customer service is great! They just moved to a larger space as well.“
“The BEST Korean bowls! Sally is a GEM ! She makes sure all is beyond great with a lovely and happy demeanor. The bowls are tasty, right temperature and crafted to perfection. The bowls themselves are adorable & keep the food warm till the last bite.“
“Very helpful and I was very happy with the service and the food was delicious. Just got to remember which days they close by 3pm. The dessert are delicious. The baked potato was awesome. Perfect. Next time I'm goi g to try the veggies. Cause I got the baked potato this time.“
“Growing up in Arlington, Texas we frequently visited the original Spring Creek location. Yesterday was my grandfather’s 92 birthday and he wanted Spring Creek rolls and barbecue. This Keller location is the closest to them so we met there. Upon entering the facility was organized and clean. Going through the line was as easy as ever and the staff was friendly. The veggies and meats were just how I remembered them. They were fresh, moist, and that signature Spring Creek sauce! The manager at this location Tommy went out of his way to make my grandfather feel special. That was super appreciated by all of us! Definitely worth a stop here if you are in the area!Parking: Plenary of parking out frontKid-friendliness: Perfect for kids“
“The food is fantastic as always. Service is fast and friendly. They have new menus. However, I noticed the plates and serving platters have gotten significantly smaller which means less food. They went from 12" plates to 9" plates combined with such smaller serving platters I feel it gives a false illusion of how much food you're actually getting. Inflation has food prices going up with smaller portions. What I don't like is even if the economy improves the change most likely won't be reversed. Once a business cuts costs it's virtually unheard of to revert back to pre inflation quantities. I still really like the restaurant but wish they kept the same sized plates/platters as before.“
“The BBQ gods smiles on this day. We were driving and looking for a new place to try. I saw this place and even though it is a trailer on the side of the road the smell called to us. We tried the brisket, pork belly, ribs, potato salad, baked beans, brisket-biscut, and peach cobbler. Lets start with the negative. the baked beans were OK, but nothing i would do agian. I had high hopes for the potato salad and was a little let down but it was ok. the place is a little hard to find and there are no tables. However, that did not stop us from eating in our car since we were just traveling through. but if you are doing take-out you most likely don't care. With that out of the way . . . . . . . WOW. The brisket was outstanding juicy, moist, great color, good smoke ring, not super fatty but a good crust on the outside. the rub had a good spice but did not overpower the meat. The ribs were just as good, not "fall of the bone" but you don[t want that, you want a little bit of chew to the meat. They had a good smoke ring and great flavor. The brisket-biscut was crispy cloud stuffed with love. I am glad we only got one to try with our group because they are addicting. he peach cobbler was very good. not super sweet but a nice flavor. I saved the best for last. If you have never had smoked pork belly then you have no idea what you are missing this was outstanding with flavor that is making my mouth water as I type this. If I am am ever back in this area agian I am making a point to come back to this spot.“
“I can't believe I haven't been here since the new owners bought Sammy's. Sammy's has been a part of our family dining and events since the early 60s. There was nothing better than Sammy's chopped BBQ with thier amazing unrivaled BBQ sauce. Then their fries and rings ...Best on the planet as far as I was concerned. It broke my heart to learn they sold years ago and I had heard they changed all the recipes so we never went back. Well, I could completely kick myself now. I never thought I would say this... BUT...the new owners have seriously taken Sammy's to the next level. BRAVO! Your chopped BBQ just might top the original and just became my favorite. Your Sammy's original BBQ sauce was not quite the original but it actually might be even better too. The onion rings were identical and brought back some great memories of birthday , graduation, and fun family celebrations spent at Sammy's over my life time. There was more people there than I ever saw those last 6 years when the original owners had Sammy's. Five stars all the way around. We had great service too! I need to make up for all these lost years and yes...I'm seriously kicking myself for holding out so long. I travel all over the country and get to try the best BBQ. I am so excited Sammy's is in my city! Will be going back regularly. Yay!“
“Worst service I ever got took 15 mins for the waiter to come to my table place is empty since new roadhouse openI had my food order 10 mins before the people next to me sat downThey got there food 10 mins before me when I ask to speak to the manger some young kid Luis come over told me sorry there only two people at the other tableSo i said Sir I only have three people at my table and we all order chicken.Told me it the luck of the draw have a good day and walked away with me super unhappyWow guess I'll just start going to the new roadhouse on lake worthDude doesn't give to fs about me or my business“
“Got mine to go but encountered a fella named Derick genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Along with the rest of the staff. They’re fast and efficient and seemed to just love the job.Nice to see this and get that kind of service.“
“✨All You Can Eat KBBQ✨✨The food was pretty good and the service was very attentive!?We came for dinner and it was $30 each for all you can eat Korean BBQ. I have had higher quality KBBQ for this price, so I’m not sure I would come back.?The meal came with Banchan and all of the dishes were very good.Parking: Great parking lot“
“Excellent BBQ with fried catfish for Lent. I forgot to ask if catfish was year round.... Nicest staff with natural smiles, we had fun talking to them. We asked for suggestions and took his advice, it was excellent brisket and ribs on my 2 meat plate. Very clean establishment. We'll be back for more !!!!“
