Vaqueros Texas Bar-B-Q Reviews
From Louisiana, been here 3 times and each experience was great and unique. Met the owner and several of the staff including the pitmaster . They do so much to help you enjoy it there! The food is wonderful! But do not miss out on the banana pudding! Get it!!!
We stopped by today after seeing all the great reviews. We were very let down. Rubbery turkey, bland brisket, neither were very warm. Our fries were over done or just under a heat lamp for too long. The cucumber salad was OK, nothing worth recommending. And the prices are very high for what you get. The saving grace was the $5 margarita.
I've been wanting to try Vaqueros after seeing them on Cooking Channel....Man Fire Food show. It didn't disappoint. The brisket was tender and moist and affordable. The nachos were great as well. All was great including the owner. I recognized him from the show. He is very friendly and even showed me the pit room. Great experience! I'll go back for sure.

Based on the reviews, Vaqueros Texas Bar-B-Q offers a great experience with incredibly friendly service. The team is nice and chats with customers, showing they care about making people happy. The food is great, with the sliced brisket being absolute perfection and the best meat for sure. The hot links are pretty good, and the al pastor burnt ends are wonderful. The mac & cheese and potato salad are amazing. The banana pudding is VERY good but needs crackers or vanilla wafers. The biria taco is pretty good, but the suadero taco needed some acid or more chopped onion. The bbq sauce is sweet and very good and should be bottled and sold by the gallon. The prices are very good, and customers get way more food than expected for the same price as fast food. It is no doubt the best bbq in Dallas and a must visit. However, some reviews note that the brisket and sausage may be lower quality cuts of meat compared to the food truck days, and the sides have gone down hill. The food has gone up in price since the truck, but it is still very good for what it is.
