“I have dined in and ordered takeout from Dawon, and I've enjoyed my visit both times. I ordered Ttobbokki with noodles, LA Galbi, and bulgogi.The items were quite tasty. The bulgogi was a takeout order, and it came with Banchan and nice, big lettuce leaves. It was all tasty.The atmosphere is not fancy by any means, but it's functional and comfortable. The service was nice. At least I had a good time chatting with the lady at the front desk. She checked on us quite often to see if we were comfortable.Overall, I enjoyed my meal here and will be back again“
“I ordered the yummies chicken fajita plate, 2 kids meals (nuggets & chicken tenders) & the BBQ beef burrito. Everything I ordered was delicious. Their French fries were amazing as well. In addition, the two ladies who attended me were very sweet & courteous. I highly recommend this restaurant!“
“Our 1st Texas anything bbq. Nearby the hotels. Clean tables. Friendly staff. Enclosed patio. Brisket moist is hefty, tender and smokey. Baby back ribs were okay. Bread (white or wheat) are included, just tell them how many slices. Corn on the cob is the whole corn, no butter. No dairy in the meat too!Side bar has pickles, jalapenos and such. Water cups available at the drink bar.“
“We walked into the normal standard Dickey's restaurant but we were pleasantly surprised immediately by the staff. They welcomed us in and asked which meats we wanted. My husband got the 3 meat plate choosing brisket, turkey and chicken with jalapeno beans, potato salad and pecan pie. I got turkey and double brisket with coleslaw, scalloped potatoes and jalapeno beans. After being served the meat of your choice you are now ready to pick your side items by grabbing a bowl then filling it with your choice side item. I kinda enjoyed that fact I could serve myself without waiting for someone else to do it. After sitting down we quickly begin eating The turkey was moist, the brisket was good neither had the intense smoke flavor I like but they were both still good. The jalapeno beans were very spicy, the coleslaw was fresh, crunchy with good flavor. The scalloped potatoes were cheesy however I felt a little salt and pepper was needed. All in all the food was good and reasonable priced.“
“$22.72 totally for 3 Meats Plate, with 2 sides and bbq sauce. Hot links and chicken are a must for us here! Brisket is leaner than Rudy's BBQ, and okay. Their meats are dairy free. Green beans was the only side that was dairy free.Chicken is moist. Hot links are crunchy.If there was a brisket in between Rudy's and Soulman's, that would be for me.Our second Texas bbq! It wasn't far from the hotel too. Their bbq sauce was tasty!!“
“Had impromptu guests from Louisiana who requested barbecue so I ordered from Bug Rays. The brisket is fabulous- beautiful smoke ring, fork tender and excellent flavor. Our potato salad and beans were delicious. It’s my new “go to” for barbecue, and I know barbecue!“
