We were greeted by friendly staff, enjoyed amazing drinks at the bar, and had incredible service from our waitress Noel, her recommendations were spot on. The bruschetta and fresh bread were delicious, and my sausage mozzarella was perfectly cooked with a generous portion. Dessert was the perfect ending, the homemade cheesecake was my favorite! Every staff member was welcoming and professional. We’ve definitely found our new comfort-food spot and will be back!“

“Never had St. Louis-style pizza before (uses provolone instead of mozzarella) and is now one of my favorite styles. The crust and sauce are fresh and flavorful. I spoke with the owner and the sauce recipe is a long-time family recipe. They don't use Sysco produce and bring in fresh to make everything they can from scratch. Staff is friendly and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!“

“Promenade is such a nice cozy café. The owner is friendly. She acknowledges us and welcomes us back everytime we go there. I thought that was a very nice personal touch. “This has been our go-to neighborhood Tex-Mex joint since moving to the area a year ago. Consistently solid food and service. The house frozen margarita ($12) is outstanding, includes a splash of Gran Gala on top, and is served in a beautiful glass. Just $8 during weekday happy hour ('til 6:30) and $6 all day Monday. The salsa is one of the best I've had. Tacos al Carbon, Chepa's tacos, and brisket enchiladas are always excellent. The only disappointment has been the enchiladas verdes with carnita meat (gristly and oily).
Service is friendly and efficient; a manager always seems to be present to ensure this. Atmosphere is better than most Mom & Pop Mexican restaurants.
If you pick up a To Go order, I would check it before leaving as we've had items omitted from orders in the past.“

“We had hummus and pita bread as an appetizer. The pita was hot, freshly made, and the hummus was delicious! We had a grilled sirloin steak, veggies and rice, and grilled lamb chops with veggies and rice. The veggies were steamed and fresh. The rice had a wonderful flavor to it. We will certainly be back, and highly recommend it. The atmosphere was great, as it is a converted two story house. Our room was simply decorated with pictures and well designed color scheme.“

“Was looking forward to finally trying Zio Al's out but the day we planned to everyone was feeling tired and it was storming so we decided to order in from them. We live in East Plano and they delivered to us. It took about 45 mins, which I think was a great time.
Food came hot and very fresh. We did the family combo, which was a large cheese pizza, large pepperoni pizza, cheese breadsticks and wings. Lots of food for a decent price. Everything was very flavorful. My husband really liked the spicy lemon pepper wings. We are looking forward to coming in store to try out more menu items!“

Absolutely hands down the best food I’ve eaten in Texas so far! I’m already planning to spend my birthdays here for years to come if all goes to plan. The staff are exceptionally kind, the cooks nailed the meat perfectly … especially the moist tenderloin. 😋🤤 Out of this world! Their hot BBQ sauce is worth every penny if you can grab the big bottle.

We came on a Sunday after church and still found plenty of seating, even a party room in the back. As a carpenter, I appreciated the gorgeous handmade tables… solid wood, 🪵 sturdy, and beautifully finished. The atmosphere was welcoming for my big family, and the staff at the register even let me sample meats before ordering. Once I tried the ham 🐷🐖🐽 and then the moist tenderloin (like filet mignon! 🥩), I was sold.

Better than Hardee’s, twice the food for half the price,💲 and no long lines. Nearly as spacious as Buc-ee’s, with plenty of room to enjoy. Truly heaven sent food… 🥩🍗

“We went to dinner at Silver Thai Cuisine in Allen last night and y’all… this place is a GEM.

It has that “Cheers” type feel — warm, welcoming, and comfortable — but the food quality is truly top tier. Fresh ingredients, bold flavor, generous portions, and pricing that honestly surprised me (in a good way).

I had a chance to visit with the owner and gained a whole new level of respect. Independent restaurants are carrying an incredible load right now — high rent, rising food costs, and competing against chains that can buy ingredients for a fraction of the price. Yet he refuses to compromise the quality he’s always served.

Places like this don’t survive without a community that shows up.

If you love supporting locally owned restaurants that care deeply about what they serve, now would be a really good time to go try them.

I walked into Cracker Barrel expecting the usual solid country breakfast vibes — rocking chairs, peg game, and decent hashbrown casserole — but our server Lucas turned out to be the absolute MVP. From the moment we sat down, he was on it: refills appeared like magic, he remembered exactly how we liked everything, making sure price was as is, and brought this calm, happy energy that made the meal feel like hanging out with a super-efficient friend. He checked in at all the right moments, took care of the whole table (even the picky eaters), and honestly made a quick stop feel like the highlight of the day. Lucas, you’re killing it, man — the food was great, but your service made it next-level. I’m already planning my next trip back.
