They have specials every day on the board, and prices are fair for the serving size you get. They offer sandwiches, bbq meat plates, loaded potatoes, quesadillas, and more. There's something for everyone on their menu, including a decent beer list. I had the brisket quesadilla, and my husband had the two meat plate. The brisket and pork were tender and delicious. The macaroni and cheese and green beans are excellent sides to the main dish. I highly recommend both meals and their amazing banana pudding. “My husbands birthday celebration was this past Friday 3-22-24. We originally chose Slap N Good bbq in Kemp, I ordered 2 family meals with them on the Wednesday before and when I showed up after work to get my food I ordered, they weren’t closed. So, I was empty handed despite ordering ahead of time, no one thought it was necessary to let me know they weren’t opening the store that day. I called Mesquite BBQ in a panic, and the woman that answered was more than happy to assist in helping me find what family order I needed to place for the occasion and quickly brought my anxiety down! In the 39 minutes it took me to get to them from Kemp, they already had the food ready and packed for me when I arrived. Thanks to Mesquite BBQ, I was able to feed everyone at the party on my husbands special day with good BBQ! I appreciate you so much, you’ve wowed me with how quick you were able to put together 2 family sized meals for me! Will be using you again!“
“We've been here several years ago when it was Jin. This was the first time since then. We came for lunch, and opted for AYCE ($19.99/person). For this price, the selection of meats and side dishes were great. We ordered LA Galbi, Nubiani, and Chadolbagiand from the menu and also picked several other meats and side dishes from the buffet. They were all great. They also had seaweed soup and beef & daikon radish soup, and they were delicious as well. Their dessert drink was way too sweet for us. I loved they had icecream for dessert and it was refreshing and was a nice taste change. For $20, I think it well worth it and I'd definitely come back.“
“The steak was amazing. I have tried both the A9 Wagyu and the regular steak, both are excellent. The ribs were also very juicy, and Are seasoned well. The brisket is extremely tender and holds up on its own weight, but tears as soon as you bite into it. The halal certification makes it the best choice to go to as well.The only things I didn’t like was the cheesesteak wasn’t what I was expecting. It is still a great sandwich(7.5/10), but not quite what I’d expect from a cheesesteak. “Had the 2 meats and 2 sides....Had the brisket and asked for lean and it was pretty good... Had the chicken breast and it was quite dry. Went right when they opened...not sure it the chicken was a day old for it to be that dry....The sides I had were cole slaw and beans....The cole slaw was pretty good and the beans had lots of fat, but not to much flavor...The bread was white bread and would not eat that again....There were no refills on sodas, so I purchased the tea...It tasted pretty good without any sugar...The atmosphere was nice..inside it was low light and we sat outside where they play music and sat upstairs as it was a nice sunny day in the 60's....There were no napkins up there so we got them from downstairs....All in all for the atmosphere, would go because we can eat outside away from cars and fumes..., But would rather eat at Spring Creek Barbecue as there meat is always moist and they have refills on drinks and fresh yeast rolls....But if you want to support local businesses and get fresh air and healing sun, Intrinsic is a good place to go...“

“Great BBQ and the brisket was fantastic. The stuffed jalapeños and street corn were all hand made and great. Party got the sausage which surprise surprise was also great. The real glass bottle real sugar Classic Coca Cola too.The absolute only negative was we were there for too long and I ended up smelling like a BBQ pit well in to the evening. I was not mad though!“

“Wow. Just wow. I just wanted a drink. I knew Back Yard was there, but I had never been. So I stopped in, and I'm really glad I did. It feels like everyone who greets you is the owner, and they genuinely care about how you feel. Everyone, and I mean everyone, cares about your experience. I arrived hoping to sit at the bar (in back) but it was full, so I grabbed a table nearby. I was quickly served and the drinks were perfect. I just wanted one drink. I planned to leave after that, but one turned to two. I looked theough the menu and everything jumped out at me. I couldn't decide. So I asked the waitress to surprise me, and she did. I had a really great burger with baked beans. It was so good. I had two waitresses and a manager, as well as the bartender taking care of me. It was such a wonderful experience. The ambience is perfect. I didn't go out in the back yard, but lots of people did. Everyone looked like they were having a good time. Three thumbs up. Food, Service, and Ambience were all perfect. Visited for the first time last week and I must say I am a huge fan.Atmosphere is nice, wait staff is not only great, they take extra time to explain their menu. They informed me that they are known for using extra seasoning on their steaks and they like to give you a heads-up in case you aren't a fan of the extra flavoring.I chose the "Outlaw Ribeye", seasoned the way they prefer to make it. It was amazing! Has the Caesar salad (amazing) and the fried okra which they cut into spears and not circles (my favorite now). Got a margarita and they brought the shaker along with the drink so I could refill the glass a few times.I'm not a guy who has been to many upscale restaurants and eaten the steaks at places that charge you $200 to walk in the door lol. “We visited Texas Roadhouse for my nephew’s birthday. Our waiter was mediocre. He didn’t go out of his way to make sure our needs were met. I placed an order to go and he gave me the to go plate only…no bread or bag. At the end I had to flag down a different waiter to complete my to go order.On a different note, the celebration by the staff for his birthday was exuberant as always. “Went to Slabs to kill some time and try out a place I'd never been before. Saw reviews and got curious! The service is the best around, probably one of the best customer service experiences I've had ever. As said before, went to kill time so that I could wait out a bit of my commute. However, didn't know there was nowhere to dine inside! Being 100+ degrees outside, I did not want to have to wait out my commute in my car. Asked the guys working if they knew of any parks or seating where I could eat, and they offered me a chair! Honestly good vibes while I was sitting and eating. One of the guys working offered me water with my food (got a half rack of ribs, delicious! Soaked in a bunch of delicious BBQ sauce! Very tender, flavorful), and when I showed him that I'd brought my own water bottle offered to put some ice in it. Very, very thoughtful. Hands down, amazing food, chill atmosphere, and EXCELLENT customer service. I will be coming again even though it's a bit out of my normal way. “The place is very spacious and the atmosphere is nice. I enjoyed a few dishes and they were all nice. The chicken 65 is a little more like chilli chicken, but besides that it is very good. The meals were fresh and the man is not burnt or hard. My favorite was the chefs chicken, which was a type of chilli chicken. The beef is marinated well and is tender, not chewy. The buffet is very well done and it is very fresh as they are constantly bringing out food. I would definitely recommend the Desi food. The American food leave a little to be desired (6/10)“
“Today, my husband and I wanted to have barbecue. It is a Tuesday. For some reason, two of the bbq joints in and around Rockwall are not open. So, that all worked out to our advantage. We searched in Rowlett and happened upon Lico’s Barbecue. What a delicious, delightful find!!! If you want fork-tender prime brisket, wonderful sides, tasty rolls, friendly and polite staff, go to Lico’s. Wish we could give more stars for the food, it is that YUMMY!!!!!“
