One of my best friends owns a BBQ restaurant out in Aledo, Dayne’s Craft BBQ, and they are my absolute fave, but Aledo is just so dang far! We tried this place out and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. We were not disappointed! Our family and I were so happy we finally found some good BBQ near our house! We bought the family pack and it was a TON of food! We are a family of 6, plus we also had my daughter’s friend with us, and we still had a ton of food left over after we all ate. The staff were all extremely helpful when helping us decide on what to order and recommending certain sides to us. They also were so kind and gave us extra banana pudding on the house since there wasn’t enough for everyone. Definitely a place to stop if you’re in the area!“

“I came here after hearing about it from family. I got the "Red Plate" with ribs & sausage. I had potato salad & fried okra as my sides. The ribs literally fell off the bone, sausage was favorable. The potato salad & fried okra are very tasty here. I also tried the Dublin Dr. Pepper as well & it was great.“

“I am a Huge fan of this bbq place and today was a bit of bummer because they were all out of the pork and I had ordered a pork sandwich and 1lbs pork chuck wagon … so I was a bit bummed. But I changed it to the chicken and the brisket sandwich and WOW! I had forgotten that absolutely EVERYTHING is absolutely DELICIOUS at this place!!! One cannot stay mad at this place for long. Because wow! DELICIOUS is an understatement!!!! So yes get the pork, becuase they are literally the best!!! .. But try their chicken and brisket. And don’t forget their mac and cheese and their potato salad and their coleslaw!!! I’m glad I have leftovers because when I tell you these are the best you will ever have … I mean it! … and yes hands down the BEST French fries in the metroplex! … and we always go for the spicy BBQ sauce, because we love it. But today they sent me both the original and the spicy and wow! Those flavors are unmatched! Absolutely DELICIOUS EVERYTHING!!!! 1000 out of 10!!! We highly HIGHLY recommend this place!“

“I 100% recommend this restaurant, mainly because of the friendly people who work there. I especially want to recognize Mike Quinney who helped us with a gift card issue. I hope the owner Chris Carol sees this so he can understand what an asset he has in Mike Quinney. He helped me and my mother above and beyond and I want everyone to know what a great store partner he is. The food is delicious also and it’s been a go too since I was very young.“

“Turning Point is one of our favorite breweries in the DFW area and we make it a point to to stop in anytime we are in the area visiting family. Having visited breweries across the US, one thing that is usually lacking in quality 99% of the time is food. I am not sure how long Godspeed has been serving up their delicious BBQ at Turning Point but the brewery should do everything they can to retain them. Godspeed has some of THE BEST brisket I have ever had in my life. It was melt in your mouth good and the bark was perfection. They have bbq sauce available but this is one of those times you should let the meat speak for itself and savor the flavor of it on its own before you douse it in sauce. I promise you will thank me later for this. Also, the beans were FANTASTIC!!! I can understand if y’all don’t want to share the recipe but they were some of the best beans I have ever had! We were hoping to find some fantastic BBQ on our visit and decided to end our at at Turning Point. Who knew we would find some of the best BBQ we have ever had in our entire lives??? The family that runs it is super friendly too. Shout out to the owner’s Dad who was so kind and generous with his time chatting us up! AJ and I kind of hit it off both being Service Vets from the same era. Hard to believe its been nearly 6 years ago now. “It was our first time visiting Whiskey-N-Smoke, if I’m honest it was a little rocky at first…we had a reservation (with no line of people waiting), they asked us to wait 15-20 minutes (reasonable), but then they forgot about us and they seated several other people until we asked why…BUT that said, the food and table service was truly excellent…thank you! “Second time since it re-opened we have been there. Tonight we had the privilege to dine in with our family. The food was good and fresh, but the staff will be the reason we for sure come back! Probably the friendliest people I've ever met. I loved being there. They were also dining in and the love they had for each other you could just feel. Great family.“

“I love this restaurant/gas station. They have a wide variety of items, food, lots of wines, in-house BBQ, and more. I only gave the (produce) food two stars because it was always excellent.., until the cantaloupe gave me food poisoning. It may have been a fluke but, sadly, I can’t recommend the fruit for this reason. I have not had any such issues with the actual restaurant side of the business, only the packaged fruit.“
