“My family and I celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday at Truluck’s in Southlake, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
We had a reservation for 7:15 PM for a fairly large group of nine people. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived because the party before us needed a little extra time, and since we were a big group there weren’t many tables that could accommodate us. The manager, Mike, came over personally to apologize for the delay and told me he wanted to make sure my mom had a memorable birthday celebration.
We were seated around 7:30 PM—honestly only about 15 minutes late, which didn’t bother me at all—but Mike insisted on sending complimentary appetizers while we waited. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he very politely insisted. To our surprise he sent six appetizers: two shrimp cocktails, two crab cakes, and two orders of calamari. It was incredibly generous and such a classy gesture.
Our server Kyle was spectacular. He was friendly, attentive, and handled a table of nine with ease. Service like that makes a big difference, and he absolutely delivered.
The food and wine were phenomenal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the steaks were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallop sauté and added an 8 oz filet because I couldn’t decide—no regrets. The Parker House rolls were a massive hit with the table (buttery, warm, slightly crisp on the outside), and we ended up ordering four baskets.
To top off the evening, they surprised us with two complimentary Baked Alaska desserts that were big enough for the entire table to share—not just the birthday girl.
I can’t say enough about how well Mike and Kyle treated our family. They went above and beyond to make my mom’s 70th birthday special.
Truluck’s Southlake is now our go-to spot for special occasions. We’ll absolutely be back.”

We decided to dine in, and the experience was just as good as the food. Elsy checked in throughout our meal and suggested a shareable, which was a great call. The hummus, pita, and bowl were absolutely delicious—everything tasted fresh and flavorful.

“I went to The Henley with high expectations based on my past dining experiences with Executive Chef Patrick McElroy, which had always been strong.

During my visit in February, I ordered two petite filets, both medium rare. Unfortunately, they came out overly charred to the point of being crunchy and burnt. It was a clear miss on execution, especially for a steakhouse-level dish.

To be fair, the waitstaff and bartenders were excellent—attentive, professional, and did their job well.

After initially not receiving a response, I was later contacted by Food & Beverage Manager DeLance Woods. He handled the situation professionally, was polite, and took ownership in a way that reflects well on both the restaurant and the Hilton brand. That level of follow-up and accountability matters, and it changed my overall impression of how they handle issues”

“Stopped in for lunch today. I got a build your own burrito. I put Mexican rice, which had good flavor. I got charo beans. Those was alright but got lost in the burrito. Not a whole lot of flavor there. I put spicy chicken, which is why I rated 4 stars. It tasted like boiled chicken with a lite spice, it was ok but not like wow. I put fajita veggies, those was ok as well my only complaint was texture. They was cut to big and tough. I added queso which was bomb and then mild salsa. I got a side of salsa and a side of this quac and sour cream sauce, 10/10. Its delicious. The service was ok, nothing special or smiles or not even a thank you. The restaurant was clean and and nice. Prices are fair.”

“I found this on google maps an realized it was in an Indian grocery store. But don't let that distract you. Looks like this is the place to get some quick, no frills Indian food. There was a short line and I didn't want to hold it up so I found something and ordered it - poori with channa masala. I've never had poori. The channa masala was fresh smelling and piping hot. Spicy too!

There was a second line for chaat foods. And it looked like some of the other diners had thali dishes (think mixed appetizer plates). I'm curious to try some of the other foods, especially from the chaat menu. I'm sure I'll be back.”
