I have not been to Cousins in years. I got take out today. I ordered lean sliced brisket. I slowly opened the tin foil and grease was covering my hands. I was disappointed that the brisket had 1/4 inch of fat on the entire length of the slice, It looked like 25% fat. That is not what I have experienced at other BBQ restaurants.Years ago, you could watch the Cousins employee trim the fat off of the brisket before they sliced it.The meat that was left tasted good.The fried okra...read full review
I'm not originally from Texas so I have been open to trying all things barbecue but this place was very delicious. I live the chopped brisket and ribs. The sliced chicken breast is so tender and never dry. The place itself is always so clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and was patient while I tried to decide on the menu.

Yummm that was the best brisket I’ve ever put in my mouth, that’s what Texas BBQ is supposed to taste like. Everything is so good and Carlos and his crew are awesome, super friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back. Thank you Carlos for an amazing experience!
