We’ve been wanting to try this place and it was a great experience, from the Asian decor to the welcoming atmosphere to the food. We got the Shumai to start off and it was pretty good. I suggest having the sauce on the side if you’re not into really spicy things. My friend got the beef bowl and it was delish. The beef was perfectly seasoned and the sauce had a great flavor. We came for lunch and this place is simply spectacular. The ambiance was radiant and we loved all of the cool art. Julia was our server and she was so polite and really knew the menu. She gave us a few suggestions and we were very pleased. We had the bao buns, the sushi roll of the day, the roasted salmon bento and the Western ramen. All of the food was just sublime. Tokyo Cafe is a modern yet traditional restaurant with a spacious and visually appealing interior. The bao buns and beef bowl were outstanding, surpassing expectations. Sushi is well-made, and cooked entrees like the fish and chips are delicious and filling. The menu offers gluten-free options and customization. The Tejas is a favorite roll. The atmosphere is lively, and the place is always packed. Service can be slow at times, especially during peak hours. The omakase was absolutely great. Consistency isn't quite there yet, but issues are handled well. The TanTan is delicious, though spice levels can be adjusted. They can switch out pork or beef options. Prices are reasonable, with sushi being the most expensive option. Despite a cramped parking lot, Tokyo Cafe is a great Japanese restaurant worth trying.
