50 Best Tex-Mex Restaurants in Fort Worth

“Muy buen servicio ambiente agradable“

“First time doing takeout here! I was a little surprised that I was prompted for a tip, but then my order didn’t include any utensils. I’ll be honest, I didn’t leave a huge tip, mostly because it feels like so many places these days expect a tip even for takeout, and I’m always much happier tipping when the little details and service are there too.

I just wish as much attention had been given to making sure the order had everything we needed as there was to asking for a tip. Nothing major—just a small learning opportunity for the future. :)“

“Amazing food, definitely recommend!“

“Amazing food, definitely recommend!“

“First time I’ve been to Cristina’s that had live music. It was super fun. Food is always good.“

“Food was good Service was on point Courteous“

“I am a big fan of Chuy's and everyone I go to is completely different than the other, atmospheric wise.
Food is always good! Service tonight wasnt the best. But everyone has their days... 3 stars for service but every thing else was wonderful!“

“Amazing food, definitely recommend!“

“Obviously Tex Mex is common and easy to find in DFW. So it takes something special to stand out from the others. Lupe Tortilla Mexican Restaurant gets that and kicks it up a notch. The service, atmosphere, extensive menu, affordabilty and food quality were all top tier but I think what impressed me the most was the presentation. When a dish looks like a work of art and then tastes amazing that's a 10 out of 10. I know I am posting photos that others have posted but that shows the quality is consistent. I will go back and try other items soon.“

“Today's lunch was outstanding. They make their own chips and tortillas onsite. The salsas I had were a compliment to the chips with flavor and spice that was not overwhelming. The Taco's carbon fajita meat with tender. Having traveled most of big cities in America, this place ranks high enough for me to right this recommendation the same day. They only serve lunch so don't miss out. The staff is very friendly and the food is outstanding.“

“Happy Hour 🍻 seating at the Bar was a great experience! I knew the bartender name before the drinks 🤣 and the service was great“

“Thank you for catering my birthday dinner. There was a tiny bit of miss communication but the staff went above and beyond to get things together. Gave me a few extras and carried it all out to my car and even sang happy birthday to me. The amount of food was over what I needed so the deal was awesome. Thank you to the whole staff for everything.“

“Love the food. Very noisy inside especially when wearing hearing aids“

“This is my favorite place to eat in Ft Worth! The food is amazing and the hot sauce is on point! The sweet tea is the best. Usually, I can only find 2 out of 3 in a restaurant but here, they have all bases covered!! I try to come every Friday afternoon if I can. If I could, I would eat there daily. I always get the skillet cheese enchiladas with beef (which is so tender and the best I've ever had) I have them grill my onions a little longer and no peppers. Then, for dessert, the chocolate tres letches is the best dessert I've ever had that's Mexican food. As far as Mexican food dining goes this should be the best in the city. The staff is always nice and accommodating. The waitstaff is wonderful, They deserve big tips!! They do a lot of work for you. They really go above and beyond and the team seems to all work well together. When you see that type of synchronicity you know they love what they do.“

“We absolutely love having this little truck just to three minutes from our house. They are open late and always hit the spot. Very good food. Get a steak quesadilla or chicken. It's always hooked up. We are never disappointed on our portion size for how much we pay. It's cheap/well priced we always tip the ladies heavy. They deserve it. They definitely put love in their work.“

“Wife and sister-in-law went for lunch Sunday ask to bring me the Roosevelt got with two tostada's no enchilada second time in a row messed up the order.“

“We had a very good experience at this location. The server named Misty is the best. We had a very large group of around 54 and she handled it very well. Thank you“

“Excellent fresh food. Shrimp, Mai, brisket were all excellent“

“Absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is awesome. Football games on TV. Classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Steppenwolf, and Bob Seger playing through the speakers. And the food. The food is AMAZING. I've only been here a few times and I try to get something new each time. Hard to pick a favorite. So far I've tried the shredded brisket taco, the Cali-style steak taco, the Baja fish taco, and the shredded chicken nachos. I'd recommend anything and everything from Fuzzy's.“

“mexican inn is good ( hurst area ) but i’m sure this location is as well BUT i had a problem that they act like they couldn’t fix without the manger and im a manger myself for fast food and this problem didn’t necessarily involve a manger
i was missing an item and called for 2days could never get in touch with the manger“

“This is the BESt Torchy’s around! The food is always spot on the service is great! Be sure to stop in and Tyler will take good care of you. Seriously the BEST Torchy’s there is!“

“Fantastic and healthy food!“

“Just want to compliment the manager who helped to make sure my team could all sit together for their UIL State team dinner! He was very accommodating and friendly. He made it work and my team enjoyed the food and time together. Shout out to Jackie and Ashley who were fantastic served and very patient and friendly with all 34 for us!“

“Beautiful restaurant! We sat outside and the atmosphere was perfect! Staff was super friendly! Only issue i saw was a small menu with few options. Food was FANTASTIC! It's pretty well fajitas or enchiladas, but the portions were HUGE and came with plenty of toppings!“

“I love Torchy’s Tacos, however I tried the new taco of the month today and let me just say I was extremely disappointed. The burger was dried so bad, cheese was hardly melted and it had no flavor. Tried taking it back but the lady was rude about it. I still will come back just disappointed in yesterday’s experience.“

“If you have never ate here you dont know what you are missing!“

“Un excelente ambiente la comida muy rica un buen sazón se atiende con muy buena educación y todo muy fresquesito“

“Very disappointed they ended their Tuesday/Thursday specials. Been going for a year and it was quite enjoyable. Guess we will start going to Rex's across the street.“

“It was our first time here, and we had such a great experience, especially since we came as a couple. The place is really nice, and we loved the atmosphere.

We ordered the queso blanco as an appetizer, and it was really delicious and creamy. We also had the chicken fajitas with extra peppers, and they were absolutely delicious—everything was well prepared and full of flavor.

Moises was our server, and he took great care of us. He was very attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better.

We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! 🙌“

“🥰👍The Mexican Inn Café – As a recent homeowner in the Fairmount Historical district of Fort Worth, Texas and needing a caterer for a Birthday celebration I searched yelp* with way too many choices. After much research and difficult pricing decision to make I took a deeper dive into the website for the Mexican Inn Café. What I found was lots of happy folks with both food and the restaurant. Next step was asking around for personal experience and found again lots of happy folks. Last step was a personal visit to check out the food. Well, that was a pleasant surprise for a restaurant that has been there for 60 + years – great food – great service and impressive service personal. Making the arrangements for the catering service was easy and working with Annette Rosas far exceeded my expectations. On the day of the birthday party the food arrived on time and their set-up service was excellent. OH, those yummy food smells. Everything looked delicious, was well prepared and the display was a treat to the eye. In addition - all was an enormous success from the party goers’ praises … except for there being little left over for me to enjoy the next day>LOL. I would like to recommend the Mexican Inn Café 8th Street in Fort Worth and Annette Rosas to anyone in need of catering services or an excellent place to eat. Thank you Annette for making my chose an excellent one – You are Amazing.“

“Un excelente ambiente la comida muy rica un buen sazón se atiende con muy buena educación y todo muy fresquesito“

“We took a large party in tonight (about 25 people) and had excellent service. The food was good, service was quick, and both waitresses were friendly. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!“

“Delicious crispy beef tacos, well seasoned beef and plenty of it… this place fries there own taco shells. Best Tacos on Jacksboro HWY !!’“

“Let's talk about EJ. He's the reason we keep coming back to Mexican Inn on Hulen. He is attentive, kind, pays attention to details, and he is a huge asset to this location. I drive 50 minutes to have him as my server, and every friend I bring comes back to him as well.“

“Long time customer. Authentic food and delicious“

“There’s a waitress who looks and sounds like JoJo Siwa! She’s super cool too so that in its self is worth the visit. We love the waitstaff at this location. Margs are fantastic!“

“Great food and custom service 💯“

“Audrey was amazing and took very good care of me and my friends!! Couldn’t recommend a better hotel bar to spend time in. Great ambiance with the glass garage door leading to the patio!! Very nice place and good prices especially for their Happy Hour!“

“Always great food and service! They've apparently gotten a lot busier lately, but I guess we got there at the right time and didn't have to wait. Our server was amazing!“

“Seems very popular and thus busy the times we visited for breakfast and lunch. Delicious food! They got half of the breakfast order wrong. Appears as though this place has been around for a long time. Wish they would invest in a better paint job for the menu which is painted on an inside wall and not very easy as to understand. We hope they continue to succeed.“

“Ordered tacos. Tripa, barbacoa, and asada. Delicious, didn't skimp on the portion. Also got menudo. Most places has a layer of grease on top, not this place. And it wasn't watered down all pale red like some other places I've been to. My corn tortillas were homemade. Jamaica was legit so was the Horchata.“

“The service was wonderful. The young man behind the counter was super nice! We had a nice conversation with him and that made our day! He deserves a raise for great customer service. Awesome food. We will be back soon!“

“Good food 🍱 to try and get some when you are in Lubbock and Abilene for lunch 🥗 or dinner 🍲 on I-20 in Lubbock county or Taylor co. Near Abilene the 🥘 is so good 😊“
