I asked for the shot special and I got a teeny shot that cost over $13. Bit of sticker shock. For what I got $5is what I should have been charged.

Charged my card for $100 tip on a $47 tab.
The tab and tip were paid in cash.

I have started a claim against this charge with BoA, if not refunded I will next report you to your merchant and the BBB.

Bartender was Mara, talked to her “people” at the far end of the bar and ignored customers.

This bartender is going to start causing collateral damage to other business interests of the following, please refund all charges.

1. Andy Fitzhugh
Current / recent ownership & business roles
Basic Bar Fort Worth – Co-Owner
Named as one of the two people who opened and own Basic Bar (with Graham Jackson).

Ninja Sushi Fort Worth – Co-Owner / Managing Member
Fort Worth Chamber roster lists him as Managing Member, Ninja Sushi Fort Worth LLC.
FWC

Multiple interviews with his partner Chandon Sanders say that in November 2023 “my CPA, Andy Fitzhugh, and I purchased Ninja Sushi Fort Worth.”
Voyage Dallas

His own social profile also lists Owner at Ninja Sushi Fort Worth.
Facebook

Andrew B. Fitzhugh, CPA – Accounting / Tax Practice (Owner)
Listed as Andrew B. Fitzhugh, CPA with an office in Fort Worth; directories describe it as his firm providing tax prep and planning.

His social profile lines up with this: “Works at Self-Employed – Accounting, CPA.”
Facebook
DAL Capital – CFO (executive role, not clearly ownership)
DAL Capital’s leadership page lists “Andy Fitzhugh, CFO”, with a background in SFR real-estate, tax and family-office planning.
DAL Capital
That’s an officer role; the page doesn’t say he’s an equity owner, so I’d treat it as a high-level job, not confirmed ownership.

The service was fine, actually pretty darn good but adding a tip without letting me know is stealing in my opinion. That deceptive act cost the bartenders money. I’ll tip no less than 20% and usually more if the seevice is good. If you stop in the Basic Bar enjoy, but a word of caution. Look at your bill before tipping. Thankfully I caught it and didn’t get double dipped on the tip.
