A+ across the board! My mom, uncle, and I shared a lovely meal here starting with their nilgai carpaccio and fried quail legs, and then we got the Elk backstrap, braised lamb shank, and peppered buffalo for entrées, and finished with apple cobbler. They have a great wine, selection and fun cocktail menu and the service team did a great job constantly checking in without being intrusive to our meal. Would absolutely go back!

Our server was so attentive and we had our older friends with us. She was on the spot with everything they asked and everything they needed. We live Bonnells. AND the dirty martini was excellent.

All the food was great. Steaks so tender, tortilla soup fantastic, salad delicious. I t was my granddaughter's 21'st birthday and my and my anniversary and they treated her and I with truffles which were delicious. First time time for all of and all four os were not disappointed.

We celebration our anniversary dinner at Bonnell's Fine Dining. Excellent service thanks to Andrea. The Elk skittle was great! A must try! I had the Red fish it was excellent a bit small for the price. Brussel sprouts were a little under cooked. My husband had the ribeye, which he enjoyed. The turnip greens, cornbread and the Hoppin' Jon were very good also. For dessert, I had the Creme Brulee, excellent. My husband had the chocolate cake, he was disappointed because it was not cake but more like a fudge brownie. We enjoyed our evening and would come again but only for a special occasion when we are willing to splurge.

We celebrated our anniversary here for the second time. We love the menu, and the food is outstanding, possibly only surpassed by the service. It's especially a wonderful place for a special occasion. All the staff are kind and provide service and if you're the only patron in the establishment.

Sheila is the BEST server ever! Elk tacos are always fantastic. Black eye peas were a little mushy.

Had a wonderful dinner with Tawny Kilborne, Jon Bonnell's English teacher from long ago. As always, the grade is an A+....

A superb steak dinner experience. Perfectly cooked huge ribeye, with delicious sides to supplement the steak. Can’t ask for much more in a steak dinner in Texas and it lives up with a super quality cut. Dessert (tres leches creme brûlée) was spectacular as well.

Well..where to begin? To dark, can’t read menu.
Came here because good reviews…will never come back for sure. Capital grill way better pare food palette.
We ordered buffalo and elk. Buffalo steak has thick crust of black pepper from bought sides. Pepper so much you can’t taste meat anymore , asparagus or potato it’s came with, just pepper taste. Elk meat glazed with some funky taste sauce which DO NOT pare with elk flavor, at all! Under the elk was mash potato with load of pepper end sauerkraut….maybe…strange choice of taste. Mac and cheese with brisket, pasta was overcooked brisket was cooked with some smoke flavor sauce, smoke flavor to salty and to strong to be natural smoke.

My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary at Bonnell's, and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was our first visit but won't be our last. To be honest, the elk backstrap was the main attraction, along with the many positive reviews. The elk and sides were delicious, ambiance was gracious without being stuffy, and service was amazing! From the friendly greeting upon entering to our delightful and professional server, Jamie, everyone made us feel welcome and valued. I highly recommend Bonnell's and hope to return soon.
