My husband and I celebrated our 45th anniversary at Bonnell's, and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was our first visit but won't be our last. To be honest, the elk backstrap was the main attraction, along with the many positive reviews. The elk and sides were delicious, ambiance was gracious without being stuffy, and service was amazing! Always outstanding. Chefs Kobi and Spencer continually prepare the tastiest and most beautifully presented plates. The wait staff Matthew and Jolene were spot on. Suggested wine pairing(s) were exactly right. A wonderful evening celebrating my wife's birthday.
One of the best dining experiences in DFW. Oysters texifeller are a must, as is the elk skillet appetizer. Quil legs are also fun to nibble on. You have to order the elk backstrap if you've never had it. I had the pork tomahawk for the frist time and loved it. Hard to beat!
