I gave this local restaurant four visits before leaving a score. The first time the food was not that good. Too salty. Second time we went we had an amazing waiter and the food was pretty good. We enjoyed the Fondue appetizer. The 3rd time and the fourth we got poor service. The waitress looked dirty. Service was horrible which matched the food quality. Too salty and bland. For the cost I can prepair better food in my own kitchen. They definitely need some pride in the kitchen. Cleaner front rooms and a higher standard in wait staff. What a shame this local place is just not worth the 30 dollars a plate. Go somewhere else...

Fried Fish wasn't all that great but the fried shrimp and fried crawfish tails were amazing... I hate to say it but the dirty rice was horrible... I ordered take out... Food was placed properly in the bag... wish I could have had more napkins but overall... I loved the fried shrimp and crayfish tails so they get a 4 out of 5... I'll go just for that....

New to the area and craving a couple Cajun fried delights- spent $30 (with tip) for an order of their Cajun Caviar and a half order of boudin and am just so sad and disappointed :((

Even though I was there before my order time, food was cold. Stuffed jalapeños were just disappointing (like jarred pickled jalapeños that were tough and the filling had no flavor and no discernible seafood) and the boudin balls were basically just a fried mozzarella ball with a strange sauce.. just sad to spend thirty dollars on literally eight little pieces of food that are inedible :(

Service and drinks were amazing…but the food was ABSOLUTELY too salty! I’ve lived in LA as well as been to N.O. Numerous times…and know Cajun. Just because you sprinkle Cajun seasoning on EVERYTHING doesn’t make it Cajun food! Seasoning should be cooked into the food, not tossed on top as it ruins the taste. The excessive salt made the food unbearable. $100+ dollars down the drain. Never again.

Staff was super friendly! Drinks were good. Prices were reasonable. Food wasn’t that great. Razzoo’s food Is better but a bit more expensive so this was a good alternative if you’re looking to save a little money.

The fish was so flavorful the stakes were so buttery mac and cheese on point you know when you go into a soul food Cajun place if mac and cheese not hitting is usually trash in this case excellent my wife only complaint was the food was really salty nonetheless highly recommended 100 percent

Boo Ray's offers a kid friendly atmosphere with dishes that look delectable. I had the jambalaya pasta, which was also easy on the eyes. Like many, I use more than my sense of taste when enjoying cuisine. First bite, I tasted the canned ravioli flavor. By the third bite, the flavors were more complex; phew! Unfortunately, it's a pasta dish and the fettuccine was beyond al dente, the chicken was not seasoned, and the okra was hard; conversely, the sausage was tasty and the toast was perfect. I want to believe we caught them on a bad night. I ate the sausage and shrimp and called it a day. My wife had the etoufee and said it was mid. But hey, the service was great and the restrooms are clean. Try them out, you may have better luck than we did.
Also, our kids had popcorn shrimp and it looked fried to perfection.

I’ve been going here for many years and it’s going down hill. Food isn’t as good as it used to be, especially for the high prices it’s now at. Service is hit and miss. I hate that I have to break down and give this review but tonight was my last visit. Everything tasted off and service was so so and my bill was over $100 for 3 people and one of the meals was a basic burger.

Everything was good except I only got 5 shrimp instead of the 8 that it says on the menu. I didn't bring it up to the waitress because people need to know.

We went on the night of 1/19. We sat down and ordered 2 pounds of crawfish and a beverage. I took about 1 sip out of the beverage before noticing there was a black hair midway down the glass. I was disgusted. I brought it to the attention of the waitress who took the drink away, then brought me a new drink, that was several shades darker than the original one. We got the crawfish, and it was small, but good flavor. It is January so small crawfish is to be expected. While there, the manager didn’t come to check in on our hair situation. We left and didn’t eat anything the rest of the night. I woke up the next morning, and was violently ill with food poisoning. We called and reported it to the restaurant & all they said is “eating crawfish is your own risk, but we’ll send you a coupon for the hair in your drink.” I worked in the industry for several years, the lack of care, compassion, and health code violations should be enough for a red flag for you to avoid this establishment.
