My wife and I chose Bricks and Horses for our anniversary dinner this year. We had never dined here before but have heard great things. Arrival was good, the valet staff was courteous. Hostess greeted us and we were promptly seated. Our server, who was absolutely the best all evening, greeted us by last name and congratulated us on our anniversary. I have never booked an anniversary dinner where it was so kindly acknowledged right from the start.
We chose to split the Caesar salad - which we were told would be large enough to do so. It was so good that we could have easily had a whole order each. My wife ordered the lobster piccata for her main. It looked terrific - and she commented this was the best lobster she had ever had. For my main, I had the 10 oz strip steak with the loaded potatoes gratin. The steak was perfectly cooked - and the bone marrow butter took it to another level. The potatoes were also great - could eat those all day.
For dessert, we both had hot tea - with my wife having the pear and almond tart and I had the gooey butter cake pie. Just like the rest of the meal, this was also fantastic. In addition, for our anniversary, they also provided a small piece of a standard white birthday cake with a piece of chocolate on top stating "Happy Anniversary" - this was the only things slightly odd.
Our meal and experience was so great that I hate to make any negative points, so I will consider this a suggestion to them. In lieu of the "grocery store" piece of birthday cake (which looked and tasted as such - icing very sweet), provide the guest complimentary tea / coffee with their dessert. It would have been nice to know that was coming before, as we would have just passed on it - as we really did not need three desserts. And the look/taste of the "birthday cake" was so not consistent with the rest of the food and atmosphere experience.
Overall, we will definitely be back on a regular basis. We also want to come by sometime just for happy hour at the bar and for a meal on the outdoor patio (which we did walk out and look over before we left - looks great).

The food and ambiance is amazing!!! The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, while the ambiance is just elegant and inviting. We did not stay at the hotel, we only had brunch but I could imagine a stay there is an experience all in and of itself.

Inside the Bowie House this restaurant and hotel take you back to historic fort worth for the well to do. Definitely a cowtown restaurant. Terrific take on brunch. The crumble bun was delicious and not too sweet. The tiny complimentary biscuits were so like, fluffy and fun. We also had the deviled egg puffs - not our favorite but not bad. I had the steak and eggs which were a little tough but the price was not bad. The wife had the cowtown breakfast - a traditional take on bacon and eggs. The hash brown nuggets were a very nice touch. Service and atmosphere were top notch. Definitely a nice accidental find. Julie was our server and she was wonderful.

The food was excellent and impeccable service. Our server Stephanie was the best she gave us recommendations on the menu and cocktail list. Shem showed us around the restaurant and Bowie house. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

Bricks and Horse's exuded elegance and majesty, and our hotel tour left us breathless. A must-visit establishment. Now, a the live piano area would really make it a best in class

Service very slow. Waiter was not friendly. I ordered the lobster quiche & there was no lobster except for a few scant flakes. I pointed this out to the manager & he said he would make the kitchen aware. Nothing more, nothing less. It was my birthday and I was sadly disappointed as I had previously had lunch there & all was good.

We visited Bowie House for a staycation to celebrate our anniversary and made reservations to Brick & Horses for dinner ! So glad that we didn't have to leave the hotel to find excellent food ! Lauren was our server & she was literally the best! All her recommendations were on point . We ordered the tomato and peach salad , raw oysters ( celery mignonette made the oysters the best we've ever had..and we are picky with oysters ), Texas jamon w/ cheddar beignets , the ribeye , creamed corn, chili glaze green beans and the food was hands down one of the best we've had while dining out in awhile . We topped it of with the warm brownie sundae. All this food was made better with Lauren's attentiveness and friendly service . We would make the trek back to Fort Worth just to dine at B&H again! Highly recommend .

We had a wonderful brunch at Bricks and Horses. Everything about our visit was enjoyable.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. It looks like an art museum with its Western decor. There's so much to see and admire while you're there, even if you are not staying at the Bowie House.
The food was delicious. I had steak and eggs, which were cooked perfectly. My partner chose the Eggs Benedict, which came with a nice selection of fresh fruits. We both really enjoyed our meals.
Our waitress, Abby, provided excellent service. She was attentive and friendly, always there when we needed something but never making us feel rushed. She really helped make our experience special. Thank you, Abby!
What we appreciated most was the relaxed atmosphere. We were able to take our time, enjoy our food, and soak in the beautiful scenery without feeling any pressure to leave.

Such a wonderful hideout in the midst of the Texas heat! We had a great lunch experience here.
Not only the entire space offers calming atmosphere right away with quirky Texan charm, but the food and the service are truly fantastic. The sandwich and the chowder soup were delicious, the sourdough bread was fantastic. The service is attentive and very thoughtful. A great place to be.
