The service at Cafe Modern was perfection. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. She was knowledgeable about the menu. I took her suggestion and ordered the artichoke / poblano sandwich— she was right! It was a wonderful blend of flavors. The lunch crowd on a Tuesday was light, but as more diners arrived, the noise level did rise. The austere, hard surfaces do make voices carry. It did not bother us, but people with who get overwhelmed by ambient sound levels might want to take precautions ( thinking of neurodivergent friends ). We had a table near the windows, and enjoyed the serene view of the water feature and sculptures.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The food was wonderful and the service was out of this world! I went for a solo birthday dinner and they made me feel so happy and special. I really appreciate the team, they clearly care about the guests and their craft.

Food was great overall for my part. Had the artichokes for starter and then the eggs and hippie toast, which is awesome. For brunch there does need to be a seafood/fish option without pork or beef or chicken in it. We had three pescatarians in our group who were underwhelmed with options for them. Waitstaff are great too, but they seemed understaffed. We waited an hour for our main courses so there was obviously some problem in the kitchen as well.

Terrific food with a variety of options to suit anyone's taste. Served kindly and promptly with a gorgeous view of the reflecting pond. We will visit again any time we come to Fort Worth.

I thoroughly enjoyed the most delicious omelette and arugula salad. Sitting on the patio was such a treat since it was a lovely day.

After enjoying many lovely meals at Café, modern, this one was pretty close to disaster. It was my daughter‘s first time, and we were excited and grateful they put us close to the window. It was so loud the server could not hear us, our order was messed up, we had eggs arrive 15 minutes after we had finished eating pancakes and nothing was really very tasty.

We arrived at 12:30, and were somehow forgotten about after being seated. We had to get up and get our water ourselves and we didn’t get our food until 1:50 after I had to get up and ask them twice if we were still being served. Very disappointed, we were quickly meeting with an old friend and wanted this to be a non-time-consuming lunch. They offered us a discount and were apologetic, which I appreciate. However, in the future, I will be avoiding coming here. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you want to be served in a timely manner.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of having our Easter Brunch at Café Modern, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the manager, Jamie Hollerby, greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. It was evident that Jamie was well-acquainted with many patrons, adding a personal touch to our visit. The entire staff at the restaurant was exceptional - from the friendly and attentive server, Jeannette, to the kind and accommodating staff member, Figen. Their dedication to ensuring our satisfaction throughout the meal was truly commendable.Let's discuss the food - the highlight of our culinary experience at Café Modern. The brunch buffet offered various delectable options, each prepared carefully and precisely. I was particularly drawn to the flavorful Shrimp and Grits, the crispy Tostada, the succulent lamb, and the decadent Piña Colada Rum Baba that left me craving more. The diverse selection of sweet and savory menu catered to every palate, making Café Modern an ideal destination for those seeking a memorable dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a culinary adventure that promises to satisfy all tastes.

Butch & I had a WONDERFUL Easter Brunch at the Cafe Modern. The food was delicious and selections were varied. Our Server, Patrick was great. I asked him about my favorite cocktail (The Mental) I used to get there and he went to the Bar and found out that none of them had ever heard of it, so.. Later I went to bar and spoke to two of the greatest mixologists in the world, SKY and GABBY. So the search began. No such luck UNTIL Manager, JAIME HOLDERBY went searching the archives and found the original recipe. The next thing I knew I saw Gabby coming toward our table with a beautiful cocktail glass (and it happened to be the last glass) on it! And THE MENTAL was in it! And it was the same awesomeness as I remembered! Talk about going beyond the call of duty! Awesome job and we will definitely return as Sky said she would put the glass up on a high shelf for my return! Wasn't that something?! Thanks SO, SO much for a wonderful day, Ladies! Great job!

Service and food were excellent. The view over the artificial lake is lovely. However I did not give 5 stars because the restaurant was extremely noisy - normal conversation for people with normal hearing was really difficult. The restaurant needs to find a way to mitigate the noise from big groups in the back of the dining area - this is the second time this has adversely impacted our experience there.

This was my first time visiting the cafe. I’m also new to Texas. The food was absolutely amazing!! The Grind Burger was delicious as well as the fried green tomato sandwich. The fries were fresh and just enough. Hats off to the chef! I will definitely be back!

Always a lovely experience. Our server, Zodia, was on top of it and attentive without being invasive. Just right. The food as always was fresh, inventive and healthy. And so good. A beautiful setting makes us feel so lucky to be in Fort Worth and have this peaceful place available. A beautiful museum and perfect brunch.
