Always great times and great food. Carpenters is one of my personal favorites when it comes to food. Its big taste, generous portions, and flavor beyond belief. And the staff are always friendly and smiling.

I love Carpenters, even brought my co-workers there for lunch and they felt the same as me.

Made a fortuitous mistake in that we arrived an hour early for our dentist appointment so we decided to grab breakfast. Had the Pennsylvania Pounder, which was sausage, bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado slices on a croissant. My son had the Simple Chick, a biscuit with chicken and gravy. The food was obviously cooked after ordering and was FANTASTIC. The building itself is decorated warmly with plants and a nice patio. The music was good and not overpowering. My son and I may make this a regular stop when we come downtown.

My granddaughter and I had a quick lunch at this spot a couple of weeks ago before heading to a doctor’s appointment across the street. Everything was on point; from the warm welcome, cool vibe, charming decor and amazing food, we’ll definitely go back soon! It’s a hidden gem that I highly recommend! (The chicken sandwich was amazing and the fries are out of this world!!!)

This homemade grilled cheese sandwich is everything you didn’t know you needed. Made with thick, house-baked bread that falls somewhere between Texas toast and a buttery, herby biscuit, every bite is rich, golden, and satisfyingly crisp on the outside while pillowy inside. The cheese melts perfectly, stretching with every pull.

Pair it with the cucumber mint chiller lemonade—a must-have. It’s cool, refreshing, and balances the richness of the sandwich with just the right touch of herbal brightness.

And don’t skip the fries! These flat, golden beauties resemble classic steak fries but deliver a perfect crisp that keeps you reaching back for more. It’s the kind of meal that feels indulgent yet homemade—with real heart in every bite.

This place was not good at all. Fries were terrible. The chicken salad sandwich was near naked. Omg, that texas chocolate cake was disgusting, it seemed very old and stale. Never again.
