I was looking forward to an authentic reuben sandwich at this NY style deli but was disappointed with my sandwich. For one it was very difficult to eat. It basically fell apart when I tried to pick it up. The bread was crumbling. Secondly, the pastrami was grilled and over done. Lastly, there did not appear to be any dressing on the sandwich, only sauerkraut, cheese and meat. Carshons typically get good reviews, so maybe this was a one off but I won't likely go back.

Always delicious, such a great historical deli we are lucky to have in Fort Worth! The Reuben is amazing, but these days I often get the lox and cream cheese with pumpernickel bread. Also recommend the polish sausage and sauerkraut!
Carshon's is always excellent! It's my go-to lunch spot anytime I'm nearby for lunch, I wish I could make it more often.The food is absolutely to die for. I've been getting the Rebecca for years. It's such a perfect combination with the Russian dressing and the cream cheese. The bread is perfectly prepared, every bite is really a treat...The matzo ball soup is good. The lemon bar was outstanding too! That was actually my friend's favorite item. I enjoyed it too, but you can't beat the Rebecca!Mari has been there for years, I think she's the only waitress I've had for the last decade. She's friendly and handles the service quickly and unintrusively.The atmosphere is only missing a star this time because they're remodeling and the old school, black-and-white photos is Fort Worth were pulled down off the walls when we went. I was told that they'll be going back up though, and they're a perfect backdrop for this wonderful, hidden gem.Do yourself a favor and make plans to visit Fort Worth's premier delicatessen as soon as possible!Parking: We went after the lunch rush so parking was easy.
