Lone Star Kitchen and Commissary

When I got into the food trucking industry, I didn’t know a lot of what is needed to even get started. I had done some research, but was really just playing it by ear. I searched for a commissary and everyone was charging through the roof. Then I came across Dan with Lone Star Kitchen and he made the process easy. He was loaded with information, and if he didn’t know something he would say he didn’t know, but would possibly have a suggestion on where to get the information. Dan had the most fair pricing I had come across. I used Lone Star Kitchen through February 2025, and I didn’t end up leasing out a cafe, I would still be using them. If I’m in the need of a commissary kitchen, Dan is my go to guy.

We had the pulled pork at the WESA event in Dallas where they catered. It tasted like chicken dust, dry, crumbled, and cost $15. No thanks.

Finding a good commissary kitchen was always a bit tough but a friend referred me to Lone Star and I'm so glad that he did. What sets Lone Star apart is that communication is easy and responses are very quick. They've also quickly provided the necessary paperwork required for events and inspections every time I've needed. I have recommended Lone Star to many and I will continue to do so.

Dan has a great facility! Lonestar Kitchen has all anyone would need to run their business. Lots of space, always clean and secure. Dan is always accommodating and available when we need him. We truly believe he wants what’s best for his vendors. Highly highly recommend Lonestar!!

Dan is the absolute best! amazing communication and goes out his way to make sure our needs are met. Kitchen is always clean and ready to work in. No matter what time of day, I always feel safe and secure. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need from utensils to ovens. It's a shared kitchen but VERY organized!

Lone Star Kitchens did an amazingly professional installation of new cabinetry in our kitchen and bathrooms. The cabinets were perfect as was the installation. Even the granite installers commented on the professional workmanship. The price of the cabinets was very fair as was the cost of installation. All telephone calls and emails were promptly handled and no price bump for extras during installation. I am a satisfied customer and recommend Lone Star Kitchens without reservation.

I have been baking out of Catering Grounds since January 2020. It has been an absolute heaven sent facility - a rare find in the Fort Worth metropolis, close to downtown! When I went to go check out the facility in January, I signed up immediately. The space, equipment and growth potential exceeded my expectations. Dan is a great host every single time, he is a great business partner to all the caterers, food truck owners and bakers out there!
