The service was terrible and the food was very bland and over cooked. We walked in to the host stand and was not greeted. The young lady just looked at me. When we sat, our server did not introduce himself or tell us his name, he simply just said can I get you drinks. We ordered our steaks medium, my wife’s was well done and mine was medium well. The salads were warm and had no flavor, the steaks were bland, the baked potato was over cooked but tasted fine, and the lobster tail was over cooked, tough, and dry. We were never asked how was everything and nobody said anything as we left. The ladies at the host station were leaned on the counter on their phones. I even said thank you and have a great night, and all I received was a stare. This was our first and last time ever going.

I was expecting a better eating experience but was underwhelmed by the grilled catfish, chicken fried steak and sirloin. Fries were cold. Baked potato was food! Overall, I wouldn't eat here again. Grilled Catfish tasted cheap and greasy. Bad texture. There are so many better options in downtown.

Was expecting a nicer experience based on the online reviews I read. However, the atmosphere was average and a bit noisy initially due to the level of the music the restaurant was playing when we arrived. They did turn it down which helped us to hold a normal conversation. The service was pretty ok, nothing phenomenal really. The food was less than expected, especially for the price. The Country Fried Steak I had was pretty gristly and fatty. The flavor was ok but I've definitely had better. Overall not a great value for the price, seems to be a bit sensationalized due to the location in the Stockyards.

Overrated, overhyped, and overpriced. Very disappointed when marking this off my FW bucket list. Our steaks were lacking in flavor, tough, and overcooked. Would have sent back but waiter did not come back until way late. Best part of our meal was the salad, and it is just plain. Atmosphere was drab, would almost classify it as a dive. Save your time and $$ and go to Riskys or Salt Grass in the area for excellent flavorful steaks.

We had a nice dinner here at Cattleman’s while in town for the night. I was a little surprised that the prices of the food did not match the dress code. Some people in cut off t-shirts and I’m not sure why I expected it to be a little more upscale. The lobster was amazing though. It was huge! The food was definitely on point and so was the service.

Have eaten here many times. Was disappointed in the food. Rolls were cold and steak was okay. Salad was. Just ALL lettuce! No other vegetable at all! Expect better from a STEAK house!

I actually couldn't believe how bad it was. It was my husbands birthday and we were excited to check out this “internationally famous” steakhouse for the first time. There is absolutely nothing inviting about the place start to finish. The decor is outdated. Everything seems dirty and cheap. Portions for sides are ridiculously small. Menu is limited. Service was terrible. Only reason we gave a decent tip was because our daughter, who is a server, insisted we tip him well because she “felt bad” for him. Huge price tag for nothing.

It sure isn’t what it used to be. Doesn’t have the good sesame dressing, no sourdough rolls, the chicken fried steak was very thin & the gravy runny & thin. The steak was very tender, cooked to perfection but the char on it wasn’t very tasty. Disappointed, wont return.

Delicious! We stopped in for lunch and got the sirloin with shrimp and the stroganoff. The steak was excellent, and the shrimp were jumbo grilled to perfection. The stroganoff was very good too! The noodles were a long, thin, wide noodle and perfect for this dish. We would definitely return!

Cattleman's was worth every penny we spent. The food was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. The waitress we had could have been a little more attentive, but she wasn't bad overall.
