Coopers is right across the little street from Billy Bob's. Parking is $10 for the day . ( like 24 hour day ). Way cheaper than most others that can go up to $29 . When you enter Coopers , there is a large long grill with all their bar b que and you tell them what you want . They cut it how thick or whatever . Beef, pork, chicken . Everything is separately priced and packaged . So Cole slaw, potatoes salad, cobbler - in its own little container . Once you check out , there is a large vat of beans , sides of pickles and bread . On the tables in gallon plastic jars are jalapenos for your convenience . Seating is bench style . Long and low so you have to be able to swing your legs over them lol . Fountain drinks and tea are self serve . This is a great place to meet before or after you visit the stockyards . Expect to pay between $20 to $30 a person.

I’m very disappointed I’m having to right this review, coppers old time bbq has been a family favorite for the last 15 years. Every year we go here for my dads birthday it is always the best bbq in Texas and I always tell everybody to come here. Sadly we came recently for my dads birthday as we always do and the meat was very dry and mostly burnt. We spent $450 and We had to toss most of it because it was not edible. The beef ribs are always phenomenal , this time they where dry I’ve never experienced this at coppers bbq before I was very shocked and sad. I’m assuming they may have gotten a new person on the pit and maybe that’s the reason. I’m not giving up on coopers old time bbq but hopefully they can switch up whoever is on the pit and get back to being the best!

It’s average BBQ at a fine dining price. It’s good but for 2 people it’s over $100 and the service is nonexistent because you serve yourself. The guy at the BBQ put wash great but the girl at the cash register has a poor attitude at best

The bar b q is great. I highly encourage you get at least a quarter pound of 2 meats, a corn on the cob, and the jalepeño bacon mac n cheese.

Me and my fiancé stoped by on our day trip to the stockyards. The line was out the door! Despite that we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes for our food and there was empty spots at the tables for us to sit. We got the pulled pork sandwich, bacon jalapeño mac and cheese, green beans, grilled corn, and banana pudding it was all delicious. Cashier was nice

You get your food and pay upfront then find a place to sit. With lots of people coming still there was not a long wait and accommodated a large group with no issues.

We are not from Fort Worth and we're visiting for the weekend. Whenever we come to Texas we always want to hit a good BBQ spot, so we have tried quite a few. I always thought that Coopers was great but that was until I tried this location. The food was not great, nor good. The prime rib was bland, and the ribs had a strange taste. Not worth the cost. I WOULD LOOK FOR A TERRY BLACK'S AND SKIP THIS ONE.

If you like Dickey's but wish it were drier and saltier and all around pricier, you've come to the right place

I regret to tell the world that the Coopers I love didn't do their best for my family. We LOVE the original Coopers in Llano. This one didn't keep that standard of excellence. The beef rib ($31) I ordered was WAY overpriced and nowhere near tender. My wife's half chicken was dry. Not acceptable. If you charge good money for your product, do not serve less than excellence.

So let me start off by saying this. I was born and raised right here east of Dallas. And I'm going to say this bbq is worse than dickies bbq. The flavor tasted like hospital bbq and you best have deep pockets and don't come here hungry. What a rip off. I get it it's historical fort worth stock yard. Come on guys yall need a better flavor on bbq sause and lower yall cause cause everywhere else in the US taste better

Ate at Coopers on a Monday July 21 at 12 noon. The brisket is tasty and moist but the 2 pounds of slices we purchased still had the fat layer attached which was at least 3/4” thick so the brisket appeared to be smoked untrimmed. I don’t like paying for fat. The turkey was flavorful but dry and the sauce was thin (watery). The free pinto beans were excellent, flavorful and hot. The problem with Many of the pit style Bbq places is that by the time you select your meat, have it cut, buy sides, get condiments, pickles, the beans, etc, your meat is cold! My suggestion is to send half of your group ahead to buy soft drinks, Beer and get condiments, sauce and silverware for the table.
Then the person buying the meat delivers it directly to the table so the entire group is ready to eat.
Overall, coopers is a real nice experience but still not in the Texas Monthly Magazine list of top 50 BBQ restaurants in Texas.

The best experience of typical Texan food. There may be better places out there, but this restaurant is true Texas style.
