I want impressed. I had the barbeque chicken sandwich and even though it was smothered in sauce, the chicken was dry and overcooked. It even had some rib bones and cartilage in it. My sister got the dark meat rotisserie chicken and returned it because it was too dry. They gave her another piece and it too, was dry. We have up and left. I was really hoping this would be a good place to go to because you can't find too many places that serve barbeque chicken sandwiches. Since chicken is the specialty here, I can't recommend going here for that reason like we did but I believe they had brisket on the menu also. We didn't try it. It may be good. As for the service, they took my sister's tray which had her chicken, fried okra and a roll on it and gave her a smaller tray with one piece of chicken on it. She had to ask for her okra. Eventually they brought her a to go order of okra. They weren't very happy with her. We were as polite as we could be because you just never know when you'll get one of those servers that drops your food on the floor or whatever just because.

Yesterday, 2/26/25, My sister and I stoped to have lunch at Cowboy Chicken. It was our first time but definitely NOT our last. The manager happened to be up front and I asked what they were best known for.OMG! THE roasted chicken, the double baked potatoes which for some reason is not listed below and fried okra was absolutely the best I ever had. My sister had their chicken wings and the potatoes ad she too was thrilled. Before leaving I ordered a to-go for my husband. 3 pieces roasted chicken, potatoes, okra and peach cobbler. He was as happy as I was and said we have to goo back soon. The staff were so very delightful and the atmosphere was peacefully wonderful. Clean and softly played country music. DEFINATELY our kind of place. KUDOS KUDOS KUDOS!!!

Horrible, every time I order food to go they barely put food, you pay 50 dollars for a meal for 6 and literally you get a meal for 3 and on top of that instead of the whole chicken they only give dark meat and this only happen in this location, because the location at Irving is not like this.

Rude staff, and then they messed up our orders and then got mad when we asked if it could be fixed and we tried to be as nice as possible about the hole thing I understand people have bad days but no need to be so rude to me and my family
The food is definitely disgusting No flavor, pink inside the chicken , the macaroni was a 0 , I threw the whole plate in the trash

I regret not coming here sooner. This place is great and so is the staff.
Right when you walk in you’re greeted with a friendly smile who asks if you’ve been there before. If it’s your first time, they will give you a quick summary of their menu while highlighting recommendations.
The food is fresh and soooo tasty. Their ranchero beans are the best side dish in my opinion. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch.
