Food was mid for the upscale scene and price range.

We ordered the Pescado Zarandeado, which was ok but this is the portion you get for $70

Lastly the dessert was great, the Gloria pancake was good

Intro: we are huge fans of Don Artemio. Have had both dinner and lunch many times and both food and service have been consistently excellent. We were so excited awaiting the opening of Dos Mares and our first two experiences were excellent, once for lunch and once for dinner, both food and service. Last night we took the family for dinner at the request of our adult daughter for her birthday. We could not have been more disappointed. Both food and service were abysmal. Our server was nervous, did not know any of the offerings on the menu, knew even less about the wine. The appetizers, ordinarily the stars, were pedestrian. But the disaster was the mains. First of all the snapper (allegedly for 2-4 people) at MOST could feed 2. It was fine but uninspired. But the 32 oz porterhouse ordered medium rare came out grey and well done (although it was sliced and presented nicely). We of course sent it back. What came back the second time was raw, cut up in chunks, inedible - where was the quality control? No one should have put either one on the table. We didn’t eat any of it and declined to take the mess home. ( Given that Don Artemio has been rated by some as the best steakhouse in DFW, this was incomprehensible) While not a major point we asked for a Baja-based “cabernet” and they brought out a pedestrian Penfolds. Since the steak was inedible we didn’t really drink the wine either. Management tried to “make it right” with free drinks and dessert, but they still charged us for the 100% uneaten porterhouse. We paid and still tipped generously but left a note on the bill regarding our feelings. Likely anticipating this review management called us that night offering a credit or gift cards for the porterhouse, but this was too little too late and I felt compelled to warn others. They told us they recently lost their chef and they obviously have untrained servers. We won’t be back. And until they get their act together, you shouldn’t go either. Stick with the professional restaurant Don Artemio.

Chef, I appreciate your response. Just to be clear. It may have been inaccurate, but the manager unequivocally stated that the chef had recently left. I can’t guarantee that we will use the gift card any time soon, but I will reconsider and accept it for a future visit.

Such a great night. It was a beautiful place to go before the Lady Gaga concert.

All the food was so tasty and relatively healthy (besides the chips). Definitely splurge on the snapper - it was huge.

Their gaonera taco was also a hit.

Drinks are tasty but not strong.

Our server Ariel was super attentive and helped us with menu items along the way.

I wish I could plop this restaurant into Dallas. It blows La Calle Doce out of the water.

I was hesitant about Mexican seafood on a higher scale by experience in the past at other establishments. This place is worth every penny. The food is absolutely delicious, has spice options for those with a spicy 🌶️ level above 4. We had lunch, dinner same week and lunch again the following week. The drinks are top notch and they had the BEST service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. EVER. Our new favorite spot. Highly recommend.

My gosh was this the best experience. This restaurant is hands down one of the best. We stumbled in only expecting to get a drink at the bar and go somewhere else but we ended up spending dinner here and it is now one of our favorite places. You truly won’t regret eating here. The arrachera and flan were out of this world.

Staff were so kind especially Daniel. The ambiance was lovely. I’m not even a sea food lover but the sea bass was VERY good.

A lovely new restaurant created by experienced Chefs. They blend the best of traditional Mexican cuisine with the flavors of the sea and the results are outstanding! Everything, including the crunchy and soft tortillas, is made from scratch and delicious. The salsas are superb. Even the selections of drinks and desserts are amazing. And the service is above and beyond. Note: as you approach, the entry to the restaurant is to the left of the windows facing the street. Enjoy! ;)

Thank you Gabriela for being our delightful guide on our first visit: a feast for the senses. My favorite was the steak (so falvorful and done just right at the intersection of juicy and crispy edges) in the surf and turf brunch option. The tuna tostada was great (smoked tuna with crispy leeks and avocado). The nopal/cactus chips were our favorite. The sauces that accompanied the chips were so deliciously fresh. My husband loved the Chilean Seabass with white pippian sauce. We also ordered the seafood chicareones, the blue corn tortillas l, the chocolate tanal and guava flan. After the Nirvana and on our palates, we can't wait to return. We also really enjoyed the chill music selection. Rush over and treat yourselves!

My husband made reservations for my birthday here and it was an amazing experience! Our server was so kind, patient, and attentive. We sat at the bar while we waited for our table, since we were early. The bartender was gracious enough to answer any questions we had about the menu. The margaritas were DELICIOUS & so refreshing! You could tell the quality of the ingredients with the fist sip.

We had an amazing spread of menu items to eat. Our favorite was the Aguachile Verde with scallops! We also tried the Ceviche Frito, Tuetanos con Atun, Caldo, Pescado Zarandeado, and the Pay de Limon! Everything was so tasty, but the items that stood out most were the Aguachile and Pescado Zarabeado.

Next time, we will try the highly recommended Chilean Seabass & other ceviches!
