Fred's Texas Cafe - Western Center

Larger group of 23. Orders came out very randomly and one very late. Two burgers ordered were pretty red when done-well done was requested.finally got waiters attn but most had finished. Manager we made reservation with quit and failed to put our reservation on the books. Fortunately we were following up. We were supposed to be in a fairly private room and wound up being seated just outside the bar area.

Really good bacon cheese burger and fries.

I’ve eaten at Fred’s probably 10-12 times over the past few years. Always got a burger and it has always been good. I keep seeing how good the CFS is there so I tried it today. I wish that I wouldn’t had. The meat was just a little more than half the size of the crust and it tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I couldn’t even finish it and ended up with a belly ache afterwards. The service was good but the restaurant was dirty. The window shades were filthy, the carpet was torn and in really bad shape and there was trash on the floor under several tables. They weren’t busy. In fact the staff was standing around talking most of the time that we were there. This place has gone downhill. I think that I heard that it’s changed ownership in the past couple of years. 🤷‍♂️

I ordered outlaw country fried steak. That steak was as big as hub cap. Very tasty.

Fred’s is always my favorite go to local owned restaurant. I’m not sure what happened to the Green Chili Lamb stew but what I was served wasn’t stew. It was more like a weak broth with no stew consistency. That’s my favorite menu item and I hope it returns to the original version that was so good.

Hello all. I had the Outlaw burger and my dad had the beef tacos. My burger was fantastic as well as the fries. I actually ordered the pablano pepper on the side and ate it separately. The tacos my dad ordered. Hmm mm. The beef was very greasy and didn't have a taco meat taste so much. This place is great to have a burger. I've had many. I think I will try the traditional chicken fried steak next time. I will surely make a review when I have it. I will not let the tacos get in my way to come back.

This place is such a vibe. Everyone was friendly. The staff and the patrons at the bar. I loved the upbeat atmosphere. They were able to sit a table of 15 with ease and they got our food out almost at the same time. Nothing was forgotten. And the waitress began immediately checking us out because she knew we were on our lunch break. The food was also delicious! The chicken fried steak was a MONSTER. I'll definitely be back!

Definitely some of the best burgers in Fort Worth. Great fresh cut fries too.

My first time today to eat at Freds. I was pleased all the way around Big chicken fried steak that was cooked to perfection. Top notch staff. I have a new Chicken Fried Steak Home! Thanks Again Jerry Summerlin

Food was great but service at bar tables could have been alot better. Never came to ask if we needed anything. I had to ask for drinks and an appetizer. Will not be back to this location

I had such a wonderful experience here today! The staff was so sweet, welcoming, and attentive from the moment we walked in. The general manager even came by to greet us and joined us for a friendly conversation, which made the visit feel extra special. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor and worth every penny. You can really tell they care about both their guests and the quality of what they serve. I’ll definitely be coming back!
