Great burger joint in FW! Service was friendly and attentive.

Went here because it was featured on Diners Drive ins and Dives. Had live music but didn't eat anything because we were still full from lunch! Had beers which were about $5-7 for drafts. Not bad.

so after hearing about the place I wanted to give it a try before they moved, so to keep it short the burger/fries/beer were good and I would go back BUT it is not anything special that has that WOW factor espicially for $18+..... maybe if I lived closer I would put it on my "places to go" but it is just not worth the 45min drive...I hope the new place does well and once the grill is seasoned and if I am in the area I will stop for a bite, if you have been wanting to go you should at least give it a try!!

The bacon cheeseburger and the hot french fries were great! The customer service was very friendly and helpful also. A little on the pricey side coming in at about $16 to $17 I believe for a meal with a soda. But it was a nice treat and I really did enjoy the food. One of the things that I liked was that both the hamburger and the french fries were real hot when they were brought out to the table. I hate going to places where one of the items sits while the other finishes and it cools down. That was not the case at Fred's and the hamburger and the french fries were both hot and fresh and delicious! I definitely plan on going here again.

Fred's is a pretty good burger. The special burgers are interesting. I like the ambiance and the fact that they didn't sell out to the west 7th developers, but it does make parking a little bit challenging.

Loved our experience at Fred's. We walked in with an 11-top and got seated immediately on the patio. They handled separate checks with ease and were very friendly. The drinks were cold and the food was pretty good. Would have given five stars but the enchilada burger and queso could definitely use more seasoning. All in all a great experience and we will definitely be back.

If you want a good classic burger in a relaxed, cozy, classic Fort Worth setting, this is the place for you. There is nothing fancy about this place, but the food is good and the portions are generous!

OVERRATED! This place isn't better than anywhere else. The fries were a step-up from In-N-Out burger but nothing great. The chicken fried steak should be removed from the menu and nachos should be brought back in its place. Service was good and I would recommend the fried pickles and salad. I know alot of people love this place, but I have to be truthful with my review.

It was national cheeseburger day, so I decided to take my wife out to Fred's Texas Cafe.I am embarrassed to say I was born and raised in Fort Worth and have never eaten a burger at Fred's! We learned what we have been missing! It opened in 1976, one year before I was born, and in those 45 years, they have most definitely learned how to make the best hamburger in Fort Worth! I had the Diablo burger, it was the perfect amount of spicy, and we had it Fred sized for 3 dollars more! It was incredible! And the loaded fries, wow, loaded indeed with deliciousness!!!We will be coming back to try other hamburgers! They had live music on the patio, but my wife and I found a table inside; we enjoyed it a little more private. Parking is a challenge; plan on that.

Loved the atmosphere and fries. Didn't love the chicken fried steak.

We got the enchilada burger and the bbq burger based off the reviews but it wasn't even worth the hype. The hamburger patty tasted unseasoned and I couldn't even taste the bbq sauce. The enchilada burger had the smallest tortilla with cheese and sauce. We also got the loaded fries which tasted better than the burgers. One thing I could tell you is that they add so much cheese which is always good.

This is a fun place. Good music. Outdoor dining. The burger was delicious. I had the serrano. Definitely will return.

This place has amazing food. The customer service was excellent and the food was prepared fairly quick. I recommend the enchiladas burger. It was very different from anything I have ever tried before. I was super excited to try it and was not disappointed. I ate so much I had to take some food home. If your in the area stop by here and get some food.

Delicious burgers and large cold beers. The burger was huge and so flavorful. I love the vibe outside on the patio in the evening when it's not too hot and there's live music. Super relaxed place

I do not go to Ft. Worth without stopping by Fred's Texas. Amazing Food, Ice Cold Beer & Amazing People...What more could you ask for. To bad you can't give this joint 15 stars.
