Great food. The hamburgers were huge! You can tell the meat is very fresh and not frozen.The service was great and atmosphere was welcoming.

OVERRATED! This place isn't better than anywhere else. The fries were a step-up from In-N-Out burger but nothing great. The chicken fried steak should be removed from the menu and nachos should be brought back in its place. Service was good and I would recommend the fried pickles and salad. I know alot of people love this place, but I have to be truthful with my review.

It was national cheeseburger day, so I decided to take my wife out to Fred's Texas Cafe.I am embarrassed to say I was born and raised in Fort Worth and have never eaten a burger at Fred's! We learned what we have been missing!It opened in 1976, one year before I was born, and in those 45 years, they have most definitely learned how to make the best hamburger in Fort Worth! I had the Diablo burger, it was the perfect amount of spicy, and we had it Fred sized for 3 dollars more! It was incredible! And the loaded fries, wow, loaded indeed with deliciousness!!!We will be coming back to try other hamburgers! They had live music on the patio, but my wife and I found a table inside; we enjoyed it a little more private. Parking is a challenge; plan on that.

Great restaurant with absolutely great outdoor seating.We had a four generations birthday party at lunch today with 15 people.The food was great, the server did great, the music was not too loud.Parking was available - just do NOT make the mistake of parking in the gated parking garage. That could cost you $20.

Great service! Shelly was wonderful in her accommodations with our puppy. We enjoyed date night and good food! Cheap drinks and good place to stop by if your in Fort Worth near 7th Street !

Always friendly... If you want healthy this is not the place, if you comfort food, burgers, burgers, burger, this is the place... I usually have the Fred's burger or Outlaw...As a treat to share the loaded cheese fries... <3
Our tea was just colored water. And while I like hand-cut fries with the skin on, I really like them cooked and not raw. The eclectic decor was confusing at best. We were the only people in there and the music was so loud that we couldn't talk to each other. Our waitress was mediocre. Our paper towel roll only had one piece left on it and she didn't replace it until I asked for it. We will not be going there again, because $35 for two burgers and two drinks it's just a little bit high to be so disappointed.

What I like: More parking now! You can park on the street. However, none of the parking is easy. Expect an issue or two, especially with pedestrians. Cold beer & full bar. Lots of creative burger options. Some are down right sinful. The food is good and consistent. What could improve: The price. A cheeseburger and fries for $16? Ok, close to TCU's campus and I get it. Still. It is overpriced for a burger. Service - I have only had lukewarm service. It's never fantastic and never horrible. Just blah...like my rating. This place is never my first choice. It is okay, but not great. We go to Fred's, but usually determine our decision based on location, not food and price.
