Goldee’s is a MUST visit for anyone who even slightly enjoys barbecue. I’ve been to a good number of BBQ joints all throughout DFW but Goldee’s is something special. From the outside (and even from the inside), it doesn’t look like much but the entire staff was delightful and the food was amazing. Now, of course the meat is top tier. The ribs, pork belly, and brisket…all well seasoned, juicy, tender and flavorful. Didn’t get the turkey but heard great things. I saw a review before I went that the sides were the star of the show, which made me skeptical, but they weren’t wrong! The South Carolina hash was new to me but it blew me away. The kale slaw might’ve been my favorite because I’m just a slaw kinda guy but you HAVE to get the cheese grits. Not really big on grits in general but these grits were miles above any other grits I’ve had in my life.

Great tasty Brisket! Some of the best I have had. I like the casual feel and unique side dishes like the Lemon Kale Slaw. No, it’s not all kale. The small amount of kale adds a fresh “green-tasting” dimension to the slaw. I highly recommend Goldee’s!

Overall, worthy of its spot in the top 3 of Texas Monthly BBQ 2025 and definitely worth visiting once

I didn't choose a flattering angle for the beef rib but the beef rib and brisket were probably the best I've had. Beef rib especially was a nice surprise since I'm usually not a fan. These were very moist not too salty and flavored just right. Brisket was perfectly moist and seasoned. It did not need any sauce but surprisingly the Goldee's bbq sauce actually enhanced and added a nice tangy counterpart to its BBQ. Turkey actually was a nice surprise also, very moist and good flavor profile too. Sausage was above average, I liked the snappy casing and smokey flavor. Pork belly was interesting but very fatty and hard to eat a lot of. Pork ribs were average, too salty for me and my wife. Sides wise we liked the kale slaw. I also like the South Carolina pork hash over rice and cheesy grits. The beans were good too, but my wife liked the beans at Hutchins better. We both liked the banana pudding. We got here 9:50am, it opened at 11am. We got to order around 12:05pm.

From what I've tried in the DFW before this, I'd say Hutchins has been the best overall BBQ place. I haven't liked Cattleack as much since they changed owners and they also have limited hours. Overall, I would give Goldee's a win over Hutchins for the beef rib and brisket, but may still opt for Hutchins due to Goldee's wait time and limited hours. But definitely worth visiting Goldee's at least once!

Decent food but not the best bbq. Line is too long and a little bit overpriced. Also, they run out of beef ribs too fast.

Everything was good here. But tbh, I wouldn't not wait again for the food here. Lol.

They definitely the best spare ribs that I've had out of the 7 bbq spots that I've had in austin & dallas. But that damn line/weight. But....my brisket wasn't as seasoned as I thought it would be and not as tender as it should have. The lean slice didnt pass the bend and pull test. Maybe it was just a bad batch of brisket.

During my visit, I thought the bbq was just marginally better than all the other places I've tried

But if you have the time and patience then don't hesitate.

Stopped in just before they closed, unfortunately they were out of everything except chopped beef and pork ribs. We opted to get both and it did not disappoint. The bbq was delicious and the staff here is super cool. Best BBQ I've had outside of Lockhart, TX

It was nice juicy I know it's say this but everything seems a bit too seasoned. I liked everything don't get me wrong. The thing is I didn't notice the beans great taste because the other stuff I ate over powered the flavors. Also, when they say large it means large.

Amazing delicious food, truly one of the best BBQ spots. The people are amazing too, very friendly. They gave us some sample bits after a long line which was really nice, it let’s know we were in for a treat and the wait was worth it.

Just know you have to get there early. Get ready for the line, bring some picnic chairs, drinks, cards or board game to kill the time. Enjoy! 😋

I waited 2 hours in the sun. Absolutely no regrets once that brisket hits your mouth. Order a side of Carolina hash over rice

Recommended dishes: Turkey Breast, Smoked Brisket, BBQ Ribs

Absolutely, unequivocally, without a doubt the best Texas BBQ experience in existence. The line moves fast, the owners and employees are phenomenal, and every bite of everything down the bread is phenomenal. I recommend everything, everything is good. Even the dang bread…the bread is insane. I have been to a ton of the top BBQ joints in the state, and I thought Texas BBQ had peaked for me after trying Truth…but I was very wrong. Go to Goldee’s and prepare to have your world turned upside down.

Technically I think they do a great job smoking meats. I do prefer that my brisket is seasoned with just kosher salt and pepper only. The sausage was expertly made but the flavor profile was not what I expected or prefer. Great people and a fun atmosphere
