Grandma's - Near Southside Fort Worth

We have been to Grandma's plenty of times, and we usually have a good time. Last night however was the complete opposite. Unfortunately it wasn't a good night out here. It started while my wife and her friends politely asked for song requests from the DJ. The Dj then continued to tell my wife to "get off his Fu**ing stage". My wife then asked him why he was being so rude and cursing her out if she was being polite. He apologized and said she was right. My wife goes to tell the bartender what happened, and that it was uncalled for. The bartender tells her "stop complaining", very rudely. I understand its the end of the night, and everyone there is probably tired of the day. But this most certainly is not the way I would expect anyone to be treated. It is not okay

Did not end up staying or buying any drinks, but the vibe of the bar alone deserves a visit.

Didn't get any food but did get drinks. Loved the vibe here; it was super fun to visit for a night out. The DJ had the tunes going for a good time!

Love this place! I've been here a few times. The atmosphere is great. Grandma's itself doesn't have food but you can order food from next door at The Pantry.

Great bartenders, welcoming atmosphere and fabulous music. My dog loves it!

Place is trashy and dirty. It takes a long time for a bartender to come up to you. I left this establishment unsatisfied. Has the feeling they’re about to go out of business

Sucks so bad

Terrible service. Rude staff! The owner was rude. I am a New Yorker and had a terrible time! All of the reviews say it's a safe space and it is not. The owner was in and was terribly rude about have a group of 6 black queer folks, we came in to this bar for the vibes. I am not from Texas but I definitely went to college here and they all suggested to come here cause I am a karaoke queen and came on a Sunday per the review quest. Every reviewer lied about the ambiance . As a review reviewer all of the reviews are lies. Even the bartender was an asshole. The sad thing is my friends and I wanted to bless and tip the staff. We were celebrating a milestone I will never trust a terrible place again. I can tell they try very hard to make it into “one of those” spaces and it is not. All a scam.

We ordered food at the Pantry next door and they brought it to Grandmas for us so we could get a drink there. The service at the Pantry and the food was wonderful...they were so nice. When we walked into Grandmas we were the only 3 people there. After 10 minutes of no service we walked to the bar to order a drink. The bartender was on her phone, we had to practically yell to get her attention and then she acted bothered. My friend struggled to carry all 3 drinks back to our table with no help. I then saw the bartender make herself 2 shots and drink them. She never asked us if we needed a refill, etc. The entire hour we were there. It was awful service and you could tell she was in a bad mood. Maybe we caught her on an off day?

I was at this bar with friends, walked out for a minute and when i tried walking back in the bouncer rudely put his arm out to stop me and asked if I wanted to “try that again”. He asked for my ID which i showed him of course. He suspected it was fake and was being rude to me for no reason. He even asked me to recite my DL number. To which I said i said the first couple numbers accurately but no one even remembers theirs. I said it’s fine I don’t have to go in but my friends are still in there. They came out and all 4 of left. I’m 27 and have NEVER been denied at a bar with the same ID. It’s not a big deal to me cause i can just go somewhere else but I still don’t know why he was being aggressive with me before he even saw my ID. I came here on occasion with friends but after this we probably just won’t go back.
