We did the buffet, so just needed drinks for the most part. Food was okay, buffet was a great price at $15 each plus drinks. That included the desserts on the back side of the buffet. The roast was extremely tender and the veggies cooked with it were great. My personal preference, the steamed vegetables were barley cooked and still way too crunchy, more like they were just blanched vs steamed.
This was my second visit to Heaven's Gate. On this visit my mom, who is 88, came with me. She said, "the buffet was really good, and tasted like home cooking." She was telling our waitress it was one of the best buffets she has been to in a long time. The food selection varies by day of the week and there are plenty of options. Leave room for the cobbler for dessert.
The AYCE breakfast buffet is amazing ..wide variety of eggs , bacon, sausage, gravy. Potatoes fruits pies and cakes are.to die for..the staff is fun and they make sure ypu have everything you need, I love this place
