So this review is going to cover 3 restaurant visits (Fort Worth) over 18 months. Going back 18 months ago, my first time to dine at Heim, I was hooked and had great food. Roughly a year later, I stopped by and grabbed takeout, and unfortunately, I was not happy. The food was not great at all, and I was mad because it's not cheap. I waited another 6 months and gave them a second chance. This past Wednesday, 03/19/25, I stopped in at 5p. I immediately noticed nobody in the dining room eating. I placed my order, which was 2 meat plate with Brisket and JC sausage. Sides were Mac & cheese, fried Okra, and pork burnt ends. Unfortunately, the experience was identical to the last one. My food was not great. When I go to a barbecue restaurant, I'm there for the meat. The sides are an extra, but that's not why I'm there. The Fried Okra was the best tasting thing on my plate. The Brisket was ok, the sausage had no flavor, and the pork burnt ends were ok as well. Not sure what happened to this place, but I will not be back. Sorry Heim.

Completely honest review, first time ever eating at this joint...
The positives: amazing burnt bacon ends, amazing beans, self serve onions, pickles, and jalapeños is a plus, potato salad was decent and different. Overall good food, but certainly not the best.
The negatives: brisket (i got mixed) was extremely dry, and the ribs although good, very small for the price. Staff was excellent and very friendly
I personally think this is a decent place for BBQ, and have a good meal with friends and family, but if your looking for the best or the great ones, I wouldn't put this place with them.

Food was solid. Brisket was to die for. Sides were just okay. Kind of pricey for not much food. Overall pretty good experience.

Every time I'm in the Fort Worth area, we come to get some good BBQ from Heim. Good food, cold beer and casual, laid back atmosphere. Can't ask for much more. If you're into BBQ, just go, you won't regret it!

Whenever I am in town, Heim is a must-visit. All the food is amazing but I think the Burnt Ends are the best. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. Parking is a little difficult on this street so you may have to walk a little.

Bacon burnt ends, pork belly as it were, we're great. Brisket was dry. Ribs were great. Very small portions though. Two slices of brisket and two small ribs for about 25 bucks. Two sides that were just ok. Can't justify cost with amount of meats provided.

I haven't been to Helms in awhile but it's always been good no matter which time or day of the week, but today! Man the brisket and bread were dry as hell! The beans were overloaded with onions. For their prices I expect better, much better!
SOOO after I posted this review someone from the restaurant responded and asked to email them so I did! I never heard back from them. This made me feel like this was front to make it look like they were trying to fix the problem! What the hell Helms! I've been a customer since y'all were in the trailer on Vickery St in Fort Worth.
