Heim Barbecue on the River

We just celebrated our granddaughter’s 27th birthday with a delicious dinner from Heim Barbecue. We ordered the brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends. Our sides were mac and cheese, pinto beans and twice baked potato salad. All of our guests loved the food and enjoyed the evening. Thanks Heim Barbecue. Great job!!

This was the first time coming here for dinner and I was excited to order the pork ribs. Man, was I disappointed!! When I got my plate and saw those tiny ribs, I was like...That's it?!! 3-4 tiny ribs that looked like it belonged on a kids menu. Literally thought that was a joke!! You know it's bad when one of the sides steals the main course. The onion rings were the BEST out of that sad meat plate. They are pretty big and so THICK!! I was extremely happy with them! Not a fan of the potato salad. I like mine the traditional way with mayo and mustard. The atmosphere was great and I'm sure the patio is even better. But after that disappointing plate, I rather stick to going to Risky's for some ribs. I would only go back to have the onion rings.

Loved the chopped beef and their sauce. Potato
Salad and beans were really good .Banana pudding and peach cobbler were outstanding . Side note their sauce was really good for dipping chicken nuggets in the next day .

This place has my favorite brisket sandwich! We hosted my husband's post birthday run on the patio here with 17 of our friends! This place has a little something for everyone - salads, full bar service, and tasty BBQ! If you need a big patio and friendly customer service go here!

The quality of Heim has really declined the last couple of years. This was my first time at this location but the food was ok....not great. I ordered a 2 meat plate with the turkey breast being the driest that I've had in a while. The brisket was pretty dry as well. My buddy ordered the bacon burnt ends and they just weren't what they used to be. I did enjoy the greens. For a 2 meat plate I think the price was fair. I hope I just came on an off day.

Food was decent. Atmosphere and staff were great. To be fair, I am from Kansas City so my BBQ expectations are pretty high. Maybe this is high-level BBQ for TX.

First off, the BBQ was fantastic! We got the jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket, and the pork ribs ..... and would order all 3 again next time. Their Mac and Cheese was also great and I give their coleslaw a 3 out of 5 rating.

We sat on the patio on a Saturday night and listened to some incredible live music and just had an incredible time altogether!
