The best Indian sundae ever!! Great burgers, coney dog and frito pie! Owners Ruth and her Mom are the sweetest ever!! We’ll be back! Super cute atmosphere! And 2 blocks down from the Stockyard. Cute place and it has an upstairs for more seating.

My family’s experience at Hooker’s was great. Ruth was friendly and made our out-of-state family visitors feel at home. The burgers were top-notch we could tell there was care in everything that came off the grill. We will be back!

That said, this one star review is a direct response solely to the fact that they are charging $3 for a cup of water. If you had four people wanting water that would be $12 for cups of ice water. I have _never_ seen a restaurant or fast food establishment charge $3 for you to consume the basic necessity of water. If they charged $0.25 for the cup or something I would understand. Hell, if they only had bottles of water and warned you about the cost I would be slightly annoyed, but would still understand. Nope, they give you a styrofoam cup with a straw and no lid with ice and water in it and somehow think that should cost you $3.
I'm seriously irritated and feel really stupid and bad about myself for unknowingly having spent so much money on ice water. Not a feeling you wanna be left with after going to eat somewhere. Huge bummer.
Burgers were awesome! Frito pie was ok but could use some cheese and jalapenos. Atmosphere was also great!
