Loved this place since it first opened in the stockyards. Grady is a great chef and his place was a go to for me while in the stockyards. They have had the lights on but the place has been closed since September. I don't expect them to reopen....sad.
Left a message on Wednesday for Saturday reservation. The phone message says if you do not hear from us you most likely have a reservation. The place is closed. Change your answering service Horseshoe Cafe.
A MUST restaurant in the Stock Yards ! You will never have another chicken fried steak like this again, until you return...
This isn't your normal chicken fried steak. The steak the potatoes, and the gravy were just delicious. But you have to try the sweet carrots AMAZING
Wonderful atmosphere. The food was fantastic and large portions. Be sure to get reservations on a Friday night!
Finally made it out to Horshoe Hill and geeeeze the CFS are huge!. We got the El Jefe which is 4 different steaks and then a house salad and the corn which I didn't get a pic of was delicious! Mashed potatoes and 7 layer dip appetizer were really good also
Arrived for late dinner and seated immediately. Cool, relaxed vibe with lots of taxidermy around to keep you company. Ordered the Lawsuit dip and the short rib tostadas. Both were so flavorful and good. The dip came out quickly and was warm and melty. The tostadas had a wonderful sauce that I kept going back for.At the time we went they were waiting for liquor license so no alcohol offering, but BYOB was allowed. Manager said they expect to get license soon. Didn’t miss the alcohol though. The food was that yummy.
It was a nice place and the service was great. I ordered the famous chicken fried steak and it looked huge. But when I cut into it, I found it had very little meat. It was mostly bread. Tasted good just a little disappointed.
Always a great experience with the consummate host Grady Spears! Excellent food served the Cowboy way, this cornerstone of the Stockyards is not to be missed!
delicious food, chicken fried steak was like no other if have had. tenderloin salad was not a disappointment either. Friendly service, nice spot

They say they have the best Chicken Fried Steak and THEY DO! My husband and I dined here for lunch today and were amazed. The chicken fried steak covers the plate and can be cut with a fork. We also ordered the Deep Fried Tamales and Seven Layer Dip with Chips. The food AND service were excellent!
Right hand to God, if I can die in this restaurant, please pour the gravy and queso into my mouthhole and slap on a chicken fried steak so it’s my last true meal. The food here is like a gift from baby Jesus on Easter .12/10 would recommend.
From the Appetizers, deviled eggs and the layered Lawsuit dip & chips to the Smoked Tenderloin for dinner were the best my husband & I ever had! The desert with Bananas was different and delish. Service was excellent and we complemented the Chef. Grady Spears The Famous Chef, Cookbook Author and Owner came out and my Husband and I praised his amazing talent!!
My girlfriend made a reservation here after checking online and making sure this place wasn't too expensive. Online the meals ranged from $15.00 - $21.00, this evening when we get there the menu shows every meal to be $25.00 and higher. We asked the staff if there is a different menu and were told, sorry we have a limited menu at this time. It seriously felt like a bait and switch.
Best chicken fried steak! Amazing atmosphere and wonderful staff!
