Kyushu Hibachi Steakhouse and Sushi

This is our favorite local hibachi spot and it was really disappointing today. We were the last two to arrive at our table, our server quickly took our order. Our server didn’t write anything down. Everything came out wrong, my husband ordered double rice and only got one serving (the chef offered to get him more but we didn’t want to wait) , my husband also ordered a California roll and we got a spicy tuna roll instead. The food was really lacking in flavor and quality this time. The noodles & fried rice were the only things that had some flavor. The meat was not great and chicken was rubbery. We’ll probably head to a different spot to try next time.

Came here with a party of 9. Wait wasn't bad at all for a Friday.
The hostesses refused to seat our party until everyone arrived. The hostesses were extremely rude & didn't seem like they wanted to be there. The waiter was forgetful and brought the wrong drink, then didn't want to bring the correct one.
Besides the waiters and waitresses, the chef was amazing.
He was fun and overall made it a great experience. The food was great (a bit salty though) and we all enjoyed the meal.
We all got the Hibachi dinners, received big portions. I got the filet mignon. The white sauce they give you to dip was AMAZING. It also came with a soup & salad. Soup wasn't very flavorful, not the best. Very small bowl of salad Overall fun experience but don't know if l'd recommend or come back.

Kid-friendliness: Accommodating for children. Had balloon animals at the front.

Ehhh it was OK. The steak was a bit salty due to the marinade or sauce put on it. The noodles are definitely had the “slimey” texture. The fried rice was bland. Pork goyza tasted like freezer(no joke, straight deep freezer). The spider roll was probably the best item I received last night. I see they have good reviews, so I assume I just caught them on a bad day. Service was good, but nothing spectacular to make me return.

Negatives: 3of 5 combos were totally fouled up, the chef gave me 4 little pieces of steak & 4 little pieces of scallops: this is $31 combo, chef gave most of the steak, scallops to 2 other families: when telling chef, he said to speak to the server, told server & even asked for manager, nothing was done, the other 2 entrees were corrected for chef had the food in plenty, final bill came with automatic 18% tip for only party of 4, then ask for additional tip on ticket, we also support good tipping, not when a restaurant commands it as a mandatory isn't acceptable, or professional, only shows their insecurity & not customer caring. If you like being a tipping puppet, this establishment is for you.

Food is terrible, soup is cold, edamame was cold, yellowtail was served warm, it’s raw sushi.. it should be cold. Don’t even want to imagine how unsanitary this place is with the temperature of the food. We didn’t even let the chef finish cooking because of Joe disappointing the food off the grill tasted. Seem like the staff doesn’t care.

Typical Hibachi house atmosphere but food left much to be desired.
Soup came at a tepid temperature. I asked for it to be hot and they brought back another bowl at the same temperature.
I enjoy hot sake. While the bottle was hot, the sake wasn’t.
Fried rice was bland and not really fried hard enough; not very good flavoring.
Noodles were over flavored and way too moist on the verge of being slimy.
This is the second disappointing meal there at a premium price, I will not be returning.

One of our go to Hibachi spots, good service. They also serve with noodles and rice too super yummy! Have been back 3 times since trying them out a few months ago. Restrooms could be a bit more cleaner as it can create some worry of food handling in my opinion.

Came here for the second time after not being at all impressed the first time. But, I returned since we were celebrating someone's birthday. Our Hibachi chef was great but our server, Annie, was extremely rude and didn't know what she was doing. Will not return.

Rice was fine. Steak asked for medium rare got a shoe sole with a big piece fat at the end cooked over well done. Shrimp was dry just like the lobster. Overcooked. Than top it all off the nasty cleaning water steam for the grill cleaning went all in my face. I was told by server that's how they cook it. Stated would ask for manager nobody ever came. Paid my bill and will never ever come back.

Health code violation?

I enjoy family gatherings at the hibachi tables often, but this last time left my head spinning when the hibachi chef actually served two shrimp to another party at our hibachi station, then actually took the shrimp off of the other party’s plate and then put it on my wife’s plate when the other party said they did not want it. Um… I thought it was breaking health codes to serve food twice? I mean they have to throw it away. Even at drive-through a if they serve the wrong person, they have to take the bag of food back and throw it in the trash… Not serve it to another patron.

Truthfully, I will probably go back… but this was shocking to say the least. Hopefully my wife doesn’t end up amoebic dysentery.

If you like eating food that has been washed in somebody else’s spit… Then you will absolutely love this place!

Hibachi was ok, not great. Had the steak and shrimp, no real flavor, steak was tough. Sushi Snow Roll was good, tasted fresh. Service was fine but the bathroom area hallway... smelled like dead rats. It was awful and almost made me vomit. Had I smelled that before we ate, I would have left. It was disgusting.

I DONT UNDERSTAND TEXAS PEOPLE TASTE. THE CHICKEN IS DRY NO SEASONIG ON THE MEATS PERIOD! I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE SUSHI BUT NOPE IM GOOD.
