I actually visited the place next to the bar, A-Max Insurance. I already had my car insured and had paid 6 months up front. This time I was going to ad my husband's truck on my Insurance. It turned out to be almost as much for one month of insurance for his truck than the 6 months if coverage for my car. I mean, what the #^*k is really going on? Inflation isn't that freaking bad anywhere or with any other service that I had before now. This is the only type of service that shot up so high that I can't even pay for it.

This place is awesome. I came in with my family and immediately got greeted in from the door by such an awesome staff. Got treated with the best service and the food was delicious. i recommend coming here if you're nearby!

I often come here I usually get the fajitas, that's probably my favorite dish but I must say it is lacking creativity perhaps it's time for a change in the menu the chiefs in the kitchen need to be inspired again I had a sample of the menudo once and it was awful pure s*** is the best way to describe it. I'd say it's time for the owners to have a chat with the chiefs because they need to step they're game up overall it's still a good place but the inspiration of the chiefs isn't there anymore DO Something about it

Very good BBQ & sides in a large, family-friendly restaurant in Glen Rose. The ribs & brisket were both terrific, the service friendly & the atmosphere fun. Concrete floors, picnic tables for dining tables, sweet tea & rustic farm / ranch decor complete with brands, spurs, tin signs & a huge Texas flag.

Only draw is price, it is cheap but not much quality. Menu is mostly Mexican but I had pork chops with fires, still trying to digest the grease. Probably breakfast and Tex-Mex are okay if price point is important but it's greasy.

My dad and I went to Hemphill's for a late breakfast. This is an old-school, mom & pop type of place. English is not their first language. I suspect this place may have been a bar in some past life, but the food is good. My dad had a more traditional breakfast. Sausage, eggs, hash browns, and two BIG pancakes. I had (I forget the name from the menu) steak, topped with eggs, and salsa, with refried beans. My meal came with tortillas and they were fresh-made on site. Awesome tortillas. The steak was a little tough, but it had a nice flavor to it. The eggs ... were eggs. Cooked the way I ordered, but not much to say about over easy eggs. The refried beans had a good flavor and nice texture. I don't remember any specifics that my dad said about his meal, but he had three plates of food and finished THEM ALL. He never does that. So, he must've really liked it. I'm sure we will be going back.

Outstanding texmex restaurant the food was very very good the chips and hot sauce was incredible. And the price on the menu is very economical. The staff is attentive and friendly. We will return again that's for sure.
