Tried la Madeleine for a takeout lunch. They have a 3 for $8.99 deal and you get half a sandwich ($2 to upgrade to a whole sandwich and more choices) and a side and a tea or fountain drink. Below is our order and everything was delicious. My wife had the mango tea. I signed up for their email list/account (you earn points when ordering and those can be used for free food) and earned $5 off this order, so it came to about $6.50 per person plus tax. Everything was fine and we will do it again

My first time trying La Madeleine and I was impressed at the atmosphere and menu. It felt sophisticated and feminine, and I made a mental note that I’d love to come back. The service, however, was appalling. The woman at the counter did not greet us or even return our smile, and the transaction itself felt rushed and rude. (I especially didn’t appreciate the young cashier calling my mother “hun” nor the tone she used.) Later I’d said hello, not once but twice, to the woman who came to clear our dishes, and she didn’t glance up at us let alone say hello back. For such an ambient and beautiful restaurant, I was really saddened at the poor customer service and apparent lack of warmth. I don’t know that I’d go back truthfully.

This location needs help! Compared to the one by SMU that is amazing! Alliance lacks employees, dress code,and food presentation. My salad had no dressing, beef sandwich was tough. Corporate needs to spend some time at the Alliance TX Loc

The new French toast breakfast was great. The service and staff are always friendly. We try to go about once a few weeks. We love the freshness that they offer. Croissants are fresh and flakey.
So when I walked in I guess the guy up front looked at me like I was out of place I don't know I've never been to this place so I'm like trying to tell him it's my first time here and he kind of just goes to them and you like really fast with me and I'm like how would I know if you go really fast with me I just shove it off and I ordered the Cordon Bleu sandwich was it's really delicious but when I paid with my hundred the guy like thought it was fake and went to his boss and I'm like a little offended like he's just doing that in front of me and then after he realized it's real he's all nice and that kind of soured my atmosphere in this restaurant so no I was already being judged before I even got to my table and I did not feel comfortable in there I'm Hispanic gay man and no the service was not good
