We are so happy we ordered our wedding cake through Loft22! It was everything that we wanted, and Tareka brought our vision to life! We ordered the strawberry & champagne flavor as a personal wedding cake for us, and it was so delicious and tasty! We don't regret ordering our cake through her, and we look forward to ordering more cakes through her in the future! Highly recommend!

Purchased a Red Velvet Cake for Christmas and it was by far the worst cake we’ve had thus far. It was super dry and not fresh. We hosted over 25+ people and no one ate it. The bakery doesn’t even smell fresh when you step inside. I would highly NOT recommend this place.

Delicious cake and wonderful customer service - My organization ordered cupcakes from Loft22 Cakes for our 40th Anniversary celebration, and we could not have been more pleased with the service and delicious desserts provided by Ms. Lofton and her team. The ordering process was straightforward, the price was fair, and our order was completed on time. I enjoyed working with Ms. Lofton throughout and appreciated her guidance on frosting colors.
And the cupcakes were delicious!
I love supporting local businesses, and Loft22 Cakes is a perfect example of Cowtown hospitality and excellence. Thank you!

Would not recommend Loft22 Cakes. My wife and I used them for our wedding cake, given the high recommendation from our venue and Google Reviews. But, let me take you back to the cake tasting. We scheduled a cake tasting and requested to taste the snickerdoodle cake, as it was communicated to us via email that this is a cake flavor they offer. When we arrived at the scheduled tasting, the staff was unaware of our appointment to pick up the cake and gave us a piece of white cake topped with amaretto syrup and cinnamon sprinkled on top. It was not good, and we couldn't get a clear answer as to if that is their typical process for baking a "snickerdoodle" cake. After emailing the owner our disappointment in our first tasting, we scheduled a second tasting in which we were promised an actual snickerdoodle cake sample. We finally received our second sample and it was an amazing snickerdoodle cake. With Loft22's redemption following our second tasting, we proceeded to book our wedding cake despite the previous red flags.
Fast forward to the wedding. My wife and I were disappointed that the cake didn't taste like our second sample, in fact, it didn't taste like snickerdoodle at all. We asked some friends and family what flavor our cake was. Some said just a plain white cake, and others couldn't remember. Snickerdoodle is a pretty memorable flavor. So, I called and spoke to the owner, hoping to explain our disappointment. The owner didn't even give me a chance to express my concerns, but rather quickly told me that she 100% knew it was a snickerdoodle cake. The conversation was one-sided and with no opportunity to express my thoughts, I just dropped it.
Fast forward to a year later (our first anniversary). When you book a wedding cake with Loft22, you get a complimentary one year anniversary cake. I called to schedule this and had to leave multiple voicemails, which weren't returned. Once I was finally able to connect with someone after multiple calls, they had no idea what my request of the 'anniversary cake' was and had to pass the phone to another employee for assistance. When asked what flavor, I said snickerdoodle to which she said, "Okay we'll do snickerdoodle or amaretto." I said I would really prefer it to be snickerdoodle since that's what our wedding cake was, supposedly. They told me my total would be ~$70, which I questioned given our email agreement stated it was complimentary with our wedding cake. Luckily, another employee knew it was complimentary. So, we scheduled the pickup for this last Saturday at Noon.
My wife and I arrived and when we asked what the cake flavor was, they said "amaretto." I expressed that since our wedding cake was snickerdoodle, we wouldn't be accepting the amaretto cake, as previously discussed on the phone. We rescheduled the pickup for an actual snickerdoodle cake to the following Tuesday at 3PM, which was after our 1 year anniversary, so unfortunately, we did not have a cake for our anniversary. I arrived at the scheduled time on Tuesday, and this time they didn't have a cake prepared at all??? I was met with many excuses, and was told they would deliver a snickerdoodle cake to my house that evening. Once the owner arrived at my house with the cake she said, "Sorry for all the back and forth" and immediately left. So we take a slice out of the cake, and it's just a 4 layer white cake, with the only thing tasting remotely like snickerdoodle being the top layer of icing.
TLDR - Absolutely horrible experience with this company. The staff was rude and disorganized, failed to take ownership, and the product was never executed correctly.

This is hands down the BEST bakery in Fort Worth. Probably even DFW entirely. I first used this bakery for my daughter’s 2nd birthday party Pooh themed cake and not only was it delicious it was also so beautiful. I had several people commenting on how good the cake was. I used them again this year to take cupcakes to my daughter’s classroom for her birthday and both of her teachers were raving about how good they were. Would recommend this place over and over again!

I wish my experience with this custom cake order had been better. Two weeks ago, I emailed the bakery with all the details for my cake — flavor, size, frosting color, message, and inspiration pictures. I received a prompt reply confirming they could fulfill the order, along with the quoted price, and was told I wouldn’t need to call to finalize it.
However, when I did call to confirm the order, the person who answered seemed unfamiliar with the details, asking questions that had already been addressed in the initial email. She also didn’t know the quoted price. While I understand double-checking can be important, the lack of clarity made me question whether they were fully prepared for the order.
I paid the $195 over the phone and confirmed a pick-up date and time. On the morning of the event, I called to confirm everything was set for pick-up. Upon arriving at the bakery, they couldn’t find my order form. Luckily, I spotted it in the display case and pointed it out to them. They told me they still had a few final details to add and asked me to wait for about 15 minutes while they finished.
After a brief walk around the neighborhood, I returned to find my cake ready in a box — without a chance to see the finished product before taking it. Unfortunately, when I got home (just a 5-minute drive), I noticed that the fondant tombstone detail they added had flopped over and the writing on it was smudged and illegible because it was still wet fondant when they added it to the cake. Additionally, the frosting on the cake was still wet as if it had just been completed moments before I arrived to pick it up.
While the cake tasted okay, I was honestly disappointed with the overall quality and presentation. Given that I paid almost $200 for a custom cake, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don’t feel the cake was worth the price or the hassle.
I really wanted to support a local business but do not think I will order again from here.

This cake was so moist, lite, airy, and fluffy. The flavor was perfect and if you’re like me and you don’t like super sweet cake you will love the cake at Loft22. I also love the variety of different kinds of cake they offer. I had amaretto and strawberry and champagne cakes and they were wonderful. I will definitely be back.
Parking: There’s a paid parking lot in the back, but it’s really inexpensive.

They made 24 cupcakes for my son’s birthday and it was absolutely outstanding. They were strawberry with buttercream frosting- incredible. It’s a small bakery on the Southside- a hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Dude! Best birthday cake I can ever remember having. My husband worked with the owner to make my favorite: vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream icing. It made the trip out to our vacation spot and wrapped in the fridge for 2 days and was as tasty as if it had just been baked. Thank you so very much.

Loft22 is an amazing bakery! We dropped in without an appointment, but that didn’t matter to the ladies of Loft22! They were super accommodating and walked us through the entire process for ordering a wedding cake! We got the cake sampler, which consists of 6 different cakes offered by the bakery, and every single flavor was DELICIOUS! We placed our order for our wedding cake and can not wait!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. Miss Lofton and Jazzelin makes you feel like family when you step through the doors. You can tell they care about their bussiness and costumers a lot. On top of that, their cakes are the best cakes my husband and I have EVER had, across the world! We talk about them to everyone. We love any excuse to come inside a grab a slice to go. Of the many people who we have shared our cakes with, not a single one rated it below their top 3 favorite cakes. These cakes are an absolute must have. My husband and I plan to be frequent costumers! Beware though, they do sell out often! As they should, because they are the best! Come early or pre-order if you want a specific cake. Again, the best cake you will ever have!
