This is a great, local barbeque place! The atmosphere fits the food, and the service matches the culture. I normally try to find some way to deduct a star to give the reader something to realize I'm an independent reviewer, but I can't find anything to deduct from Lone Star!!!

The best barbeque and value for the money.
The ribs were fall off the bone tender & juicy. 5/5 The sweet & spicey sauce was excellent 5/5
Both wifey & said the potato salad was excellent, creamy & flavorful. 5/5
Brisket was thinly sliced tender, but a little dry, 4/5
Green beans tender, but not soggy, but definitely needed more seasoning, perhaps some garlic pepper or crushed red pepper to provide a little kick. 4/5
The rice & broccoli was not to our liking at all, & quite frankly seems like an odd combination to me. 2/5

This used to be my favorite lunch spot, but the prices have been increasing by 10% each year, far exceeding the current inflation rate of 2.7% to 3%. This trend seems widespread in the restaurant industry and might eventually drive them out of business. Texas BBQ was meant to be an affordable working-class option, but now it’s unaffordable for most folks.

We stopped at Lone Star BBQ in Fort Worth and were seriously impressed. The brisket was absolutely awesome—tender, flavorful, and smoked just right. My son had the ribs and loved them—fall-off-the-bone good. The broccoli and rice was surprisingly tasty, and the barbecue sauce was on point, bringing everything together. The only miss was the macaroni and cheese, which was a bit subpar. But the banana pudding? Incredible. Worth the stop for sure!
