Los Girasoles Mexican Food

1st trip there. Steps are steep for anyone handicap. Ask me how I know. Smelled like sewage when we walked in. And it was hot inside. We didn't know if we had to order at the counter or what? They said to sit anywhere you like. So we took a booth. A big tall kid took our order. Too soft-spoken and had a hard time understanding him. He was wearing sweats, that were dirty, might I add. The chips were good, and the salsa was runny and thin. I personally like mine alot more chunky. I'm a whetta, what can I say. I was starved, so I ate. My husband got a margarita and said it was good. We ordered Queso. Had very slight peppers in it. We should have passed on that one. Hubby got the Gringo. His enchilada was good. I got the lunch menu chicken fajita salad. My fried bowl was broken, not a deal breaker, I usually eat so many chips I don't eat the bowl anyway. Fresh jalapeños were good, but It was just ok to me personally. No pico,no guacamole on either of our plates. Location seems to be the reason their suffering. El Paseo is my fav restaurant. Best frozen margaritas, queso cheese enchiladas. They are on the ball, and the way the waiters and waitresses work is amazing. Next is mexcales, and benitos off magnolia, Los Mocajetes. Why would you compete with those? Why don't you have your split air unit on, or hv central air? Guess I'm too spoiled I think the ac was broken, or the split unit I just assume it is. We are glad to try it to at least compare against the others. Good luck

The food is always amazing! The birria tacos were very flavorful and the margaritas were super yummy!!! Unfortunately the service was super slow, we waited almost an hour for our food. They are definitely under staffed. I hope they can hire more staff so they can fix this issue..would love to see this place strive and be successful. Food and atmosphere is wonderful!!!

Molcajete was amazing! Margaritas were okay couldn’t taste the tequila had to order xtra shot to add. Service needs attention.

Really great authentic Mexican food! Service is ehh but that didn’t bother me much. Will definitely be back soon just for the margaritas alone!!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY DONT EAT HERE!!! Brought my wife on Valentine’s Day because she wanted to try this place, we ordered the molcajete and it was terrible all the meat in it was cold no salsa in it all it, just a full bag of cheese and some lousy onion in it not to mention they have the audacity to put a piece of cactus the size of a gum wrapper. The steak in it was disgusting, and the waitress MARIANA also gave my wife attitude while she was trying to pay at the register which I don’t appreciate, worst experience EVER!!!! All these other reviews gotta be fake!!!

After taking my brother to his doctors appt this afternoon we went to Los Griasoles for dinner. Absolutely the best Margaritas anywhere,ever! We both had the combination plate. If you haven't been there you have no idea what you're missing.
The queso and chips are delicious. The chips are very light and crispy. The chicken fajita quesadillas, beef fajita nachos and chicken flautas were wonderful! Service was excellent! Atmosphere very relaxed like visiting family. Definitely my favorite place to go!

We drove 25 minutes to specifically eat here in an effort to support local business. My wife so a shoutout for support of this place so we gave it a shot! The food was ok at best, the service was pretty bad. We were never offered a water refill. They tried to overcharge and they charge for every little thing. Btw if you want lemons they don’t tell you they charge for them until you checkout. They are not on the menu. Would I go back…A FAT NO!

We came here to support, drove 25 miles. Because I or we are all about supporting, especially small businesses! We ordered Tacos Al Carbon, the fajita was decent although the flower tortillas were not authentic. Portion of guacamole and pico de gallo, was barely enough for 1 taco. We ordered a side of pico de gallo and lemons. Come to find out it was an extra charge. Pico ok, but if youd of given me enough I would have not ordered a side of it. Also was charged for 3 half of half’s lemons or limes we received, WOW! We went to pay and the prices had increased but the menu didn’t show it, so we were charge more than what the menu price was. Needless to say, we will not be going back. 02-08-2025 @5:35pm.

Food was fresh and delicious. Nothing was day old leftovers like some places like to do. Really good menudo. The margaritas were perfect
